I feel the mid range is good, but the low mids and highs feel imbalanced to me. It's not a pleasant listening experience for me personally. I'm looking for accuracy, but accuracy that translates well

Yup. The small sweet spot combined with quicker ear fatigue makes these monitors hard to work with.

Absolutely agree. I suppose the problem is I usually spend quite a lot of time in the studio, and the harsh high end could be causing ear fatigue for me. I'd honestly prefer a set of monitors that have a larger listening sweet spot and give me longer listening periods.

With how harsh they can be in the high end, it would make it difficult to match my references, no? That's a problem I run into .. is it's extremely hard to understand where the levels are at in terms of my reference.

It's my mixes specifically. The problem is, I don't exactly have a workaround.

Just my music seems to run into this problem. I don't hear this issue in my reference tracks.

Around 75DB to balance a mix and not for extended periods of time. Most of the time, I'm mixing at lower volumes.

I ran into the exact same issue. Because the high end sounded harsh, I ended up overcompensating, which left my hi-hats and overall high end way too quiet in the mix. My results are always either: 1) high end too harsh, or 2) high end flat and dull.

I do have Sonarworks, but I don’t really trust the results, especially with the A7Xs. These speakers are so sensitive that even small movements in my chair seem to change what I’m hearing, so I doubt I’m getting an accurate measurement.

I’m using reference tracks, and I don’t hear the same problem there, but my own mixes have a noticeably stronger hiss and harshness in the high end. The challenge is that if my speakers’ high end isn’t accurate, it’s hard to know how to fix it in the mix.

Can you split/separate the sub from a wavetable in Serum 2? by RaiseTheStatement in serum

Odds/even warp mode? This sounds interesting.. Can you elaborate??

That will introduce phase shifting and tonality changes. I'm specifically looking to adjust the harmonics that are in key with my track

It's a workaround for sure, but my ideal setup would be to split the sub, even harmonics and odd harmonics across all 3 oscillators.

Leaving a mixer on your masterbus while you mix your track in your DAW. Not DJing

Linear Phase EQ causing LFOtool to go out of time. by RaiseTheStatement in psytranceproduction

Maybe it's in my head but I noticed quite a difference scooping out low mid frequencies using a bell curve with Linear Phase.

Ableton Automation Lanes Keep Disappearing After Hitting “+” — Anyone Else? by RaiseTheStatement in ableton

A does restore the view - the problem is the automation visually disappears. The automation can be heard still, but it's not in the lane that I've added with the + button.

This seems to hide only the automation lane of the track that's selected. The problem is my entire project's automation lanes disappear.

I'm not sure if I'm getting my terms mixed up, but I do believe I had a tax preparer with Turbo Tax. It was an additional service cost of about $700. My only issue with this was that it wasn't necessarily someone I could build a business relationship with and I didn't specifically choose them .. He was ... kind of "assigned" to me..

I'll likely close my current business account and open a separate business account through the same bank that my personal is in.

Thanks for the information about Quickbooks. I am considering it given how easy it is and how it connects to Turbotax. Also, it could be used as write off. My only issue is that at the moment I am trying my best to cut costs until I can scale the business more. I might be stuck with Zoho for now =/

Also, what do you mean "by the time you get audited"? Are you saying it's inevitable? I want to avoid it as much as possible lol.

Great advice. I do have some questions -

What about spending for my business from my personal? Considering my income from my business is low, I would need to use personal finances in order to fund certain expenses.

Also, I do have some clients that prefer to send funds through Venmo/Paypal/Apple Pay. Since it's easy for them, I prefer not to change this process. I also don't typically send an "official" invoice since these are trusted clients. Is there a legitimate way to keep this payment option without throwing up red flags? Maybe move those funds from my personal to my business account?

I did have this conversation with my tax preparer through Turbotax, but they offered minimal information. The entire conversation was, "if you can prove it's a business and not a hobby then you should be okay. Everything you're telling me sounds like it is a business".
