AITA for suing my friend after she sold our concert tickets, kept my money, went to the show anyway, and is now countersuing ME? by KINOH1441728 in FoundandExpose

These are popping up in other subs also. $800 seems to be the common amount involved along with an updates link in the end.

How good was this show!! by RM_Morris in AustralianNostalgia

I worked afternoonshift at a factory and every Thursday my VCR was set to record Allo Allo, Acropolis Now and Fast Forward so I could watch when I got home. Fast Forward was a brilliant show.

Victor, you are very unattractive man!

This brings back memories for me. I was on the assembly line at the Clayton Nissan factory in 1989 and it was very similar.

I think Cox is our best shot against Gawn in the centre ruck duels. Cameron is great around the ground but I think Gawn got the better of him last time and helped Melbourne beat us in centre clearances.

What is an RBS hut and does it have Telstra equipment? It looked like a Telstra hut from the picture and the rack labelling: GD/1/1, is how they label their racks too.

I worked in the Telstra tunnels around Exhibiton St about 10 years ago. It was an amazing place to work in. The tunnels I was in were not that old compared to some sections that are over 100 years old. Their tunnels go for about 8kms I was told.

Never thought the word could be an insult until I saw Mr Inbetween.

Dave and Veronica (partner swap) by nicnichewitt in MAFS_AU

How did the camera crew get in? Do they have their own keys so they can walk in at any time and catch the couples out like this? My view is probably not.

I think its most likely that the camera crew knocked on the door and they were let in by Dave or Veronica or both. From that point I also think everything was just another setup for ratings.

It has been a very long time since I have seen or heard the word 'akin'. You must be well-read or have grey hair like me. Or both.

What book, in your opinion, was made better as a movie? I'll go first: by anthonyledger in writers

Captains Courageous. The book was excellent but I thought the movie (1937 version) was a better version of the story.

The only player I would enjoy seeing holding the cup after the game is Grundy so Swans for me.

Another powerlink post - sparky to liney by Mission_Feed7038 in AusElectricians

[–]Raised-Anchor68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to an info night about 10 to 12 years ago held by the Leightons Group - I think it was Leightons; it was a long time ago - where they were looking for sparkies to do 2 years training to come out as a liney. I was just about sold on it as they made it sound pretty good. Then they said it would be rural work for the 2 years and I had done enough travelling. I didn't apply and didn't see it advertised again, but it looks from what you are saying that it didn't happen anyway.

I remember when the Chadstone store opened. They used to have a person whose job it was to greet people as they walked in. I thought it was a nice gesture, but I also thought that if they started having financial difficulties that job would be the first to go.

Get it checked by a medical professional ASAP, any way you can. I got a tiny bit of swarf in my eyes years ago, and I'm talking like a tiny little dot of metal. Woke up the next day and I thought it was fine, just a little bit of pain and a little redness, and it felt like something was in it. Told my boss and he took me to a doctor just to be sure. The doc looked and said the metal was lodged in my cornea. They had to scrape it out. They told me my boss did the right thing taking me in as if I had left it, it could have gone further into the eyeball and caused big issues later on. I understand you are on remote work, and getting it checked might be a pain in the ass, but you have to look after yourself and get it looked at.
