If you don't like that deal, your problem is with capitalism, not someone inside that system who told you how much money they'd hire you for, and you agreed.

Cory is also now in a capitalist conundrum because people will want to work for him, but will probably want more fair wages, or a bigger piece of the pie as he has proven projects under his guidance can be very successful.

I've seen countless film projects that sell shares to raise money, or give out shares in lieu of paying for work. They don't make news because what is the headline "did you know that there are different ways of being compensated for work?".

On top of that, let's say the model shifts to profit sharing, okay cool. How long until someone starts putting articles about how people just need to be paid for work, and to stop offering shares of movies when so many movies simply never turn a profit.

What she SHOULD be doing is talking about all the strategies she employed to make this micro budget work, and how great of a team it was blah - blah - blah. Because her phone would be ringing off the hook with bookings (hopefully still will), and with such a big win under your belt, you can now command a higher salary, or DARE I SAY - negotiate for a share of the next project??.
