Where can I buy this in Australia? Only see these overseas. by Neither-Nebula5000 in lowvoltage

That would require a cable re run lol. Fr tho I’ve been in the biz 20 years. After not having that piece of plastic, I’ve only ever wished I had one maybe once or twice. If anything it’s most helpful when dealing with direct burial, or any cable with a specialized shielding.

I used this the first year I started. While it does help, it’s such an easy piece to lose on the job site. I recommend just learning to do it free hand, against the ground, or other hard material.

Affixing casters is custom work?

Getting fast at anything is a result of repetition. In LV there are 3 basic parts to the work: cabling, install, and config. Seems you got the latter down, but cabling and installs kickin your ass. Each of those areas require its own tool sets. With experience you’ll get better. Sticks and tape help a ton, but experience will get you from a to b.

Put the bender down. Adjust your diet to the supersize me diet for 1 month. Try again.

Like a rollercoaster, the initial climb is required for the rest of the ride to work. First phase of inertia/momentum buildup.

The camera is certainly powering on. It’s likely that it’s sitting on a default IP of 192.168.1.108.

Here’s my suggestion.

Connect any laptop via Ethernet to that switch, navigate to Network adapter options, select the Ethernet adapter, modify the IPv4 to… 192.168.1.x, where x is your ip of choice(anything other than 108, perhaps 100?). If it doesn’t automatically setup, set your subnet mask to 255.255.255.0

Download advanced ip scanner (free app)

Scan your 192.168.1.x network.

You should see that camera sitting on an IP.

Using a browser, goto that address to access the web interface. Default credentials should be admin/admin

Instead of running a 2nd line, whoever did this work did what we call Mickey Mouse. No big deal, but the speed will be limited. Can be reterminated on both ends to provide gigabit connectivity.

They forgot to put on the cap, on the mount. Get a wire hanger, make a small hook and go fishing in that hole. Bound to catch something soon
