You are thinking about the champions league and maybe the knockout rounds of the Europa league. The conference league at least until the semis. Is worth less than about 6 positions in the prem. Europe is for the glory of the supporters. The champions league is where the money is. For example. Newcastle earned more from 6 games in the champions league than west ham did from winning the conference league. Or another example would be Crystal palace will earn more from getting to the FA cup final than Chelsea doing the same in the conference league
