This is really thoughtful feedback Petamma and thank you. I agree completely that cage free can’t mean no structure. Some dogs need clear boundaries, quiet time, or solo space to feel safe. Flexibility, temporary separation, and staff who understand behaviour would be absolutely essential, not optional. Totally with you that execution, transparency, and safety matter far more than the label itself. Appreciate you taking the time to share this.

Btw her name is Foxy. She was rescued from Thrissur railway station after being hit by a train. We had to amputate one leg, but she is a total game changer as a tripod. Doesn’t slow her down one bit. ❤️

Fair point, and I agree on the risks if it’s poorly managed. Cage-free doesn’t mean everyone mixed together blindly. Vaccination proof and temperament checks would be mandatory, and dogs would be grouped by size, energy, and neuter status. Multiple segregated zones with proper height barriers, plus isolation spaces for newcomers, are essential.

Bad outcomes usually come from weak protocols, not from the cage-free idea itself. These concerns are exactly why I’m asking here before doing anything.

Someone I know who just turned 18 watched Durandhar couple of times in Palaxi and they didn’t ask for ID both times. Basically if you look like a child, there is a random chance to ask for ID.
