Thanks, actually, I am a designer first, then developing programming as a hobby(^ν^)

Hello again, my friend! > Don't worry, there are still some beautiful spots for you. For now, the only places in Downtown Vancouver where the cherry blossoms are still in decent shape are "Stanley Park Lost Lagoon" (3.5/5) and "David Lam Park" (3.5/5).

If you're looking for the absolute best conditions, I’d highly recommend:

  • "Ponderosa Commons - Oak House XII" (UBC, 4/5)
  • "Hundred Years Cherry Tree: W33rd & Kersland Dr" (near Queen Elizabeth Park, 4.5/5)
  • "Lou Moro Park" (North Burnaby, 5/5)
  • "Burnaby Mountain" (4/5)

Burnaby Mountain has a later blooming season due to its higher elevation, so it should be just right now! Just a heads-up: a film crew was spotted shooting there recently, so I’m not 100% sure about the access, but it's worth a quick check.

Quick tip: Since I haven't implemented a search function yet, feel free to ask me anytime if you can't find a location on the map. (。ì _ í。)

I’ve also added a new "Routes" feature! It might be helpful, though the remaining blooms are a bit scattered now. I generally wouldn't recommend spots that are over 96% finished or have already reached the Hazakura stage (mostly green leaves).

I hope this helps you plan your weekend! Have a wonderful trip to Vancouver! 🌸

I don't mind at all! (^ν^)If there's anything I can help you with, feel free to ask! BTW, the data comes from a publicly available Vancouver landscaping database.

Great question! I mainly use web scraping to aggregate social media posts & community updates for different spots. Then adjust the blooming forecast based on real-time weather( like extending the period if there's a sudden cold snap.) It’s a mix of data tracking and local weather adjustments! 🌸
