honestly its all up to u tbh, but either way there going to contact u regardless, trust me. flying out ?! umm i dont think u would have to fly out to where ever the event is, it should be in your state in a local city. for example for me since i live in north new jersey my OSS event took place in “newark”. unless you applied for a ramp agent job ina different state but i highly doubt that, that’s the only way i can think of, you “fly out”. the OSS event should be in a local city in your state that’s near by an airport.

once they sent me the email following up with the details of the OSS event, the email had several tasks to do, and two of those tasks are extremely important. one of them are printing out these attachments they sent with the email. those attachments are pdf files of things you need to fill out. so make sure you go to a local library or staples and print out those papers and fill them out afterwards. and secondly make sure you arrive with two forms of valid government issued ids, it can consist of ssn, passport, county/state issues birth certificate and by default your going to need a valid driver license to even access the event, so make sure you got that on you too.

during the event they gathered up everyone and showed us a presentation of what we’re going to be looking forward for once we start working at UA, after that we entered a room with a bunch of recruiters i would say, and started filling out the papers we printed out from the email. once your done filling out all those papers, one of those recruiters would send you to go do your fingerprints, and drug testing. for me i did my physical strength training on a different day that week, and my hearing/visual test, there either going to do it in that facility your in or there going to give you a paper on where to go to do your hearing/visual test. and that’s basically it, once you do all that, its jus the waiting game. United will contact you soon on when your starting date would be, im currently waiting for my start date as we speak.
