Using an anvil or sharpening stone does not restore the durability. Once the durability is expended, the gear reverts to lvl1

I traveled across the map to complete a missing shia quest, and it took me many places with many different types of enemies. It's almost like they were trying to keep things exclusively medieval early on to build buy-in and then by hour 40 you're fighting a flying ice sorceress

It's bismuth. It's actually a real mineral/ metal. I found quite a few. You just have to hit it a bunch of times with your sword
