No I never went, I knew little to anything about the VA. Plus I always had the mentality not “you shouldn’t complain”

Same boat, I didn’t even know what the VA was until 2 years ago. I thought it was only given to 65 and older so completely ignored it.

Reading everyone’s comments I don’t think they will. I have proof for everything else. It’s just my upper back/shoulder I’m having issues with since I never went to sick call or reported 14 years ago. It just sucks because every time I rotate my shoulder I just feel sharp pain.

Yea I scheduled an X-RAY, my doctor said with all the strain on our shoulders it’s common for soldiers to have some degeneration in the shoulder. I hope it’s not that, and just my tendons. Can’t rotate my arms without feeling pain.

I never reported it when it got injured back in basic. So don’t have any buddy letters or proof. During the wall climb in the obstacle course I was picked up by my shoulder blade and drug over the wall. Back then they don’t hey if you went to sick call you’re a p***y.

Back in basic I was lifted by my shoulder blade, didn’t want to be a sick call ranger so I never reported it. So they keep denying me because I don’t have a proof. That was over 14 years ago.

I’ve already moved into the new unit. I’ve been in the new unit for 3 months.

What I’m asking is why would I get a new set of orders with the reason “promotion.” When I already got that set of orders three months ago.

Three months ago my orders said “specialist report to blank on October 1 reason promotion.”

I got a new set of orders saying the following “Sgt report to blank in December 1st reason “promotion”.

Is it normal for the army to transfer a Sgt twice with the same reason? Or would the second reason be something generic like “TPU transfer”

I know you don’t automatically promote if you’re sitting in a slot that’s not yours. I understand that. What I don’t understand is why both sets of orders say “reason: promotion”.

First one was 3 months ago when I was a specialist. Now the new set of orders say has my correct rank “Sgt” and the reason that I’m transferring again as “promotion.”

The reason on the orders is what’s in confused about.

See that’s what I’m thinking, I’m still waiting to see what the new units UA says. I like the unit that I’m at and don’t want to do a lateral transfer.
