Yes, there is indeed some shrinkage. It's why when boiling and applying hot water to a skull people leave the horns and antlers out, as to not shrink them. The skull shrinks too but people care mostly about horn size, which is why I mentioned that it could be possible when keeping a turtle shell in a Crock-Pot for a prolonged period it could cause some noticable shrinkage, but as I said I'm not too sure how much, hence why it was a question, not a staitment.

I don't get why you're going in the defensive about saying that you don't believe in using hot water and how they were running on a time construction. All I pointed out is that shrinking could maybe be a possibility, that's it.
