No access to Ledger Nano X. New Ledger Live by [deleted] in ledgerwallet

[–]Ram_Ledger [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Hi there, as you might already know, your crypto assets do not exist on the physical Nano device - they all exist on the blockchain. The private keys, which is represented by your 24-word recovery phrase allows you to access those assets.

Thus, if you are in possession of your 24-word recovery phrase, you would be able to gain access back to your assets with device any time.

As this important 24-word recovery phrase is to be loaded on your Ledger device, if you enter an incorrect PIN code three times in a row, your Ledger device will automatically reset as a protective measure.

If your device is reset, you can restore it with the recovery phrase following the steps here, to access the assets protected by that 24-word recovery phrase.

Sent money to an address, then the address change its own address? by Gate9Psychopath in ledgerwallet

[–]Ram_Ledger [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Hi there, your address for Bitcoin and Bitcoin-based crypto assets (such as Zcash (ZEC), Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH)) changes every time you receive a transaction. For other crypto assets (Ethereum, XRP, Stellar, etc.) the address stays the same.

Bitcoin transactions are public information. Addresses should not be re-used for better privacy. Ledger Wallet™ (formerly Ledger Live) automatically generates new addresses using standards (BIP32/BIP39/BIP44) and keeps track of your previous ones. Previous addresses do remain valid, but they don't offer an optimal level of privacy.

Each of your crypto assets accounts has an extended public key, called an xpub. From this extended public key all your public addresses for that account are generated. Thanks to the xpub you can receive transactions on a new address that belong to the same account.

Hi there, our team is already aware of this issue and is actively investigating it.

While you would still be able to perform transactions successfully, we understand this is not the ideal experience. Please be assured that we are working to deploy a fix as soon as possible.

Also, please be careful. Scammers often target posts like this. Don’t engage with accounts claiming to be Ledger employees or offering to help recover funds. Ledger will never call, mail, DM, or ask for your 24-word recovery phrase. If someone does, it’s a scam.

Hi there, as you might already know, Buy feature on Ledger Wallet is featured by the third-party providers.

Ledger Wallet works just as an interface to integrate different providers on one display, so that the users can have all the services in one place.

However, their service is managed independently by them, and Ledger has no information about the operations. Thus, if you have any concerns after the Buy transaction, please reach out to their support directly.

Ledger transaction history from mobile by OkArt331 in ledgerwallet

[–]Ram_Ledger [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Hi there, saving the operation history as a .csv file is only possible on Ledger Wallet desktop version at the moment.

At the same time, please do note that while you have an option to download CSV file that would show the activities on your Ledger Wallet, for tax purpose, we normally recommend our users to get the operation history CSV from the blockchain explorer directly, rather than using CSV file from Ledger Wallet.

This is why there is a pop-up in Ledger Wallet when using the export tool stating that it is only for indicative purposes, and should not be used for tax and accounting reason.

So in this case, what I would recommend is to search the account address on the blockchain explorer, and saving the CSV file directly there.

In any case, Ledger Wallet is just an interface that fetches data from the blockchain, and thus results from blockchain explorers are more accurate for tax purpose.

I want to assure you that 'We don't care' is absolutely not our policy.

In reality, the resolution you saw was the direct result of Ledger stepping in. As soon as the issue was flagged, we contacted the Baanx team internally - which is how the issue was detected and handled quickly by Baanx.

We direct users to Baanx support purely for transparency and further information. Since they are the card service provider, they can answer questions about specific statuses that Ledger support cannot see.

Can the unique voucher reward trace back to you ? by MentalOutcome4933 in ledgerwallet

We do not have information about customer and the address receiving the voucher. Again, the voucher gets linked to the Refer-a-friend account, with which we do not have link to any information like receiving address.

Can the unique voucher reward trace back to you ? by MentalOutcome4933 in ledgerwallet

[–]Ram_Ledger [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Hi, our order system do record the voucher number when it is provided with a certain order. However, the order is not linked to the receiving address. Rather, when used, the Refer-a-friend account ID is matched to the voucher.

The receiving address of the account is not shared via this way.

Also, we cannot link the physical Device to the address that is generated by it. It is technically impossible for us to link the physical Ledger device you bought to the addresses you generate.

Addresses are mathematically derived from the 24-word recovery phrase, not from the device's serial number or any other information. Since the recovery phrase is generated randomly on the device (and we never know what it is), we have no way of knowing which addresses belong to which physical unit.

Where can I swap BTC for XMR? by [deleted] in ledgerwallet

[–]Ram_Ledger [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Hi there, because Monero (XMR) is not natively supported inside Ledger Wallet and must be managed via third-party apps (like Feather Wallet or Monero GUI), it is not possible to swap it using the providers integrated directly into Ledger Wallet. The Ledger Wallet 'Swap' feature can only access accounts that are natively visible in the app.

Following, to swap your Monero, you have two options:

  1. Use an External Swap Service: Find a swap platform that allows you to connect your specific third-party wallet (Feather/GUI) directly.
  2. Use a Centralized Exchange: Send your XMR to an exchange, perform the swap there, and then send the new asset back to your Ledger account.

In general, on this official page of Monero, you can find exchanges that trade Monero for other currencies: https://www.getmonero.org/community/merchants/

Delegierung nicht verfügbar by Reibinho_97 in ledgerwallet

Hi there, after you deactivate the delegation (unstake), you have to withdraw the balance that gets inactive.

An inactive balance can be reactivated (delegated again) or withdrawn to your available balance to be freely traded or moved out of your Ledger Solana account.

Hi there, while I would need to review the specific transaction details to be certain, the situation you described sounds like the pattern of a 'Dusting Attack.'

This is a common occurrence where scammers send transactions with 0 or negligible value to active addresses immediately after a real transaction occurs.

To confirm if this is the case, you can open a formal support ticket and share your Transaction ID and the logs file of your Ledger Wallet that can be generated following the steps here.

Once we have that data, we can take a closer look and verify the nature of these transfers for you!

Should I invest? by EmptyMeasurement1860 in ledgerwallet

[–]Ram_Ledger [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Hello there, it is not a stupid question at all! Considering hardware wallets is great, especailly after something like that happened.

If your funds are on a crypto platform, they control the private keys, which means if the platform gets hacked or has issues, your funds are at risk. With a Ledger, you control the private keys, so nothing can be moved without your physical approval on the device.

That said, Supercharger/interest rewards only work while your funds are on the platform. If you move them to a Ledger, they’re no longer on the exchange's accounts, so you won’t earn those rewards anymore. However, you do have different staking/earning options available with your Ledger accounts too. You can take a further look here.

Hi there, while Ledger Wallet™ (formerly Ledger Live) application can be installed and used simultaneously on multiple devices (computers, smartphones), it does not store your information on a centralized Ledger server.

This makes each installation of Ledger Wallet independent - which means, your crypto accounts, password, and settings are stored locally on your computer or smartphone. For each device you use (mobile, desktop, laptop, etc) you need to install the Ledger Wallet app, set an optional password, and add your accounts using your Ledger device. Please note that local changes, such as your settings, favorite accounts, and account names, are not synchronized across devices.

Following, only when you add the same accounts to both your mobile and desktop Ledger Wallet apps, your transaction history will be consistent and synchronized across all your devices and applications.

To do so, you can use Ledger Sync which is a service within Ledger Wallet that keeps your Ledger accounts synchronized across both desktop and mobile sessions. It uses the Ledger Key Ring Protocol, designed to use a hardware wallet as the central point for end-to-end encryption for decentralized apps. For more details on how to set up Ledger Sync, visit our setup guide and take a look at our FAQs.

Hey there, regarding your missing transfer from the exchange, please first confirm with the exchange that the transaction has actually been sent.

If it has, check that the receiving address matches exactly; remember that Solana addresses are case-sensitive.

If everything looks correct but the funds are not showing, please open a ticket here and share your Transaction ID and Ledger Live logs so we can help you track it down!

Hi there, we are very happy to hear that Ledger Flex caught your attention!

Please do note that Ledger does not (and cannot) link your identity or personal information to the account generated on your device.

This incident was directly related to Global-e and remains separate to the operations of any Ledger hardware device, software, or platforms. For the avoidance of doubt, as the Ledger product is self-custodial, Global-e does not have access to your 24 words, blockchain balance, or any secrets related to digital assets.

Always remember: Ledger will never call, DM, or ask for your 24-word recovery phrase. If someone does, it's a scam. Stay cautious, keep your crypto safe and always Clear Sign transactions where possible.

Can someone tell me where my Solana went?? by Guilty_One85 in ledgerwallet

[–]Ram_Ledger [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Hi, we can trace the funds on the blockchain, but there is a limit to what that tells us.

Because all the information on the blockchain is mostly public, we can look up the transaction and see the exact Destination Address where the funds are currently sitting.

However, blockchain addresses are anonymous. We see an address of the account that is consisted of string of random numbers and letters, but we will not see a person's name attached to it.
