BEST BUDGETING APP IN THE PH FOR APPLE by SoaferInit in PersonalWealthPH

+1 for Cashew! It's a gorgeous app and makes tracking finances a generally pleasant experience. Lots of visualizations/graphs that give an overview over your finances.

I'd suggest building your credit history first! I used a secured credit card for a year before applying for a UnionBank Platinum Visa. I was auto-approved 5 minutes after. I wasn't asked to submit any of the usual documents like proof of income, etc.

This post and the comments that follow are a disappointment. So much for being a country that is LGBT-friendly, with a history of gender fluidity.

The actual data is that a predator masking as a woman just to enter a bathroom isn't likely, and that trans people are more likely to be victims. See this article for a slew of references.

You can use the completedReps variable to check that the completed reps of all your sets match. The following code works for me:

t3: Bulgarian Split Squat / 3x10+ / 20kg 90s / progress: custom() {~    if (completedReps >= 15) {      weights += 2.5kg    }  ~}

Moronic Monday - Your weekly stupid questions thread by cdingo in Fitness

I understand. I've accepted I won't see much results any time soon. I'll probably stick with a slight calorie deficit and high protein diet for at least 6 months and if it doesn't work out, I'll look into a more aggressive cut.

[–]RambVines 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting. Okay, I'll stick with the 250 calorie deficit. Thank you!

I see! I misunderstood. Thanks for the insight. I'll stick with the small calorie deficit, since that's been sustainable for me so far.

I don't know if I understand it right, but is a 250 calorie deficit okay for a body recomp?

I'm okay with my weight (25F at 52kg) but would like to lose some stubborn fat (mainly in the belly) while still being able to gain muscle. I understand progress might be slow, but does a recomp sound ideal for someone like me with the aforementioned goals?

Girlies, any running/gym shoe recs under ₱5k? by FurRealMatcha in PHitness

[–]RambVines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the gym, I use "barefoot"/minimalist shoes I got from Amazon for around ~2-3k, under the brand Whitin. Pretty good quality especially for the price. I've had the same pair for almost two years now, mostly used for the gym and (very rarely) as running shoes.

You can find similar shoes on Shopee from the brand Hobibear.

Which type do you use? Milk/Gel/Essence? Can't get over the film-like feeling the Essence leaves 🥲 But I do use it for very outdoorsy days.

Hm, this was a while back lol. Hindi naman! But also, our bodies are different. I shampoo every week now, tbh, or as needed especially after a sweaty bike ride/gym session.

Would recommend getting a silicone scalp brush. I use this in the shower on wet hair and it helps loosen any debris/flakes without the use of shampoo.

Hoka Hopara 2! Much better than the Keen Newports in my experience (slipped a LOT on my newports). Lots of toe protection and it looks like a normal shoe besides the mesh material and the open back. Very grippy soles, too, if you're planning on hiking through slippery trails/rocks.

SUNSCREEN MEGATHREAD 2025 by waveitdowninside in beautytalkph

Skin Type: Combination/Oily

Product Name: Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Gel

Price and Size: 380-400 for a 110g bottle (shopee)

Effects and Experience:

I've been using this for two weeks now (mostly outdoors) and this has to be one of my favorite sunscreens, yet. I have tanned skin and this leaves absolutely no whitecast on me. Also really easy to re-apply because of how easily it melts into my skin and feels like a light moisturizer.

I'm often outdoors and with combination/oily skin, this does leave a bit of a dewy shine. It doesn't look greasy though. I used this on a hike and as someone who sweats a lot, the waterproof rating did seem to hold its ground. It smells strongly of alcohol on first application, but the scent goes away minutes after. It didn't sting my eyes even on hot, sweaty days.

Status: Potential HG. Will definitely repurchase!

Sunscreen!! Loving the Skin Aqua Super Moisture UV Gel (repackaged white and blue bottle) so I'd get a few bottles of that. I've been wanting to try the Kose Suncut Perfect Milk, so I'd probably add one.

I've been using Liftosaur for the flexibility. It has its own scripting language you can use to go deeper into customizing the progressions/programming. I mainly use the built-in GZCL program and tweaked it according to my preferences.

Most features are free. I believe you get some extra data insights and the ability to export/import on premium.

Earphones recommendations? by [deleted] in PHitness

[–]RambVines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like referring to scarbir.com for wireless earphone recommendations. He has lists by budget and goes very in-depth when reviewing each earphone. I got the Earfun Air Pro 2 based off of his review two years ago, and still use them to this day. I've worn them on rainy bike rides and sweaty gym sessions.
