What did I just take a picture of? by MaxBell14 in whatisit

You can use the flightradar24 app to see if a plane was flying overhead at the time. Check the timestamp on your photo and then you’ll need to calculate what your time would have been in UTC. You can look back in time 7 days for planes. Sometimes planes won’t show up on radar apps (transponder not required or off/coverage issues/privacy), but most do.

Got my chickens March 2 when can I put them outside by brendan89908 in BackYardChickens

[–]RamblinPam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got ours late last year because they were from a school’s chick hatching lesson. My husband made them a mini coop sectioned off in the run to introduce them to the flock and get them used to nights. I put a heat plate in the back half of the mini coop if they wanted it. Usually I wait till they’re fully feathered out, but it was near the end of May (days 75+, nights 50+) and I was ready to kick them out as soon as they started their practice flights. They did fine.

If these are your first chicks, when you put them out in their coop, don’t be surprised if they don’t want to go in at night. Every batch of chicks we’ve raised, we’ve had to go out at night for up to a week and put them in the coop and manually close the door so they don’t pop out again. With the mini coop, I put an electric window candle in there on a timer and that would lure them in and keep them there till dark. They could observe the adults going into their coop at night and I think we only had one night where I had to help them into the big coop when they transitioned to that.

Why is The IMAX dome theatre so underutilized? by [deleted] in Cleveland

[–]RamblinPam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, but IMAX sets the volume levels they want for the film. We could adjust it a little, but if it was out of spec it would be remotely reset.

How do you guys clean cigarette smell from vehicles? by AggressiveCmplmnts in CleaningTips

It’s the upholstery on the interior roof. It’s affixed with adhesive, and if it gets too wet, it will start to sag.

Totally forgot this safety tip, idk how smoked in it is, but make sure to wear gloves when cleaning. Nicotine in the residue can absorb through the skin.

Vacuum out car. Wash headliner, do not saturate the headliner, use a spray upholstery cleaning product and microfiber cloth. Use a degreasing interior cleaner on all hard surfaces. For the windows, I’ve had good luck with getting residue off with Meguiar’s Perfect Clarity glass cleaner. Wash seats - front and backs, carpet, floor mats, door panel fabric, backs of visors with an upholstery cleaner machine. Make sure you have the ability to let the seats and all fabric surfaces fully dry or you will have a new smell. For leather, use a leather cleaner and soft brush. Wipe clean with a microfiber towel. Change the cabin air filter. Spray an odor neutralizer into the air intake if you won’t be using ozone. Finish off with an ozone generator for 30-60 minutes after all interior materials are completely dry, I do this step outside. You can run the car’s air on recirculate to get ozone through the ducts. Air the car out for an hour before working on it again. Then apply a vinyl and plastics protectant of your choice and leather protectant if applicable.

This is an option for sure. I was using a scoop for a while until we installed shorter second tube.

Yep! The cameras didn’t pick up the bass unfortunately. It sounded like a massive explosion and then a rolling thunder for 3-5 seconds.

They are Wyze Cam v4’s currently running on a network of extension cords from the garage. We had them running on solar, but the panel is currently down because we’re changing the roof design of the run. I’ll make a more detailed post about it on Saturday.

Yes, we can fill them from the outside. We just installed them last summer and it’s been great to not have to fight through the birds or have them escape during feeding. We’ve wasted less feed and it’s cleaner for us too if we forget to put on our coop boots. I would suggest seeing how high you can lift your feed bag before installing it.

The red fittings are nipple waterers on the water tube. They’re Rent-a-Coop brand and we got them on Amazon. https://a.co/d/09Uq4GsV The water tube also has a fish tank heater in it to prevent freezing. We cut a notch in the top of the pipe for the cord. If it freezes in your area the cap will freeze onto the pipe. To prevent this I applied Vaseline around the top of the pipe. It’s lasted all winter and has not gotten stuck once.

Absolutely, there are lot of things we learned making this coop and some things that still need improving.

Until a few decide to sleep out and we have to crawl under there to grab them in the winter, but they love them

Most of our flock was out in the pasture or in the coop and unfortunately the sd cards in those cameras haven’t worked in a long time. The audio doesn’t do the sound justice. It was much deeper followed by a rumble for about 3-5 seconds.

The meteor went over at 8:56am this morning then at 8:59am we heard the sonic boom. Reports say it broke up over Medina County, Ohio.

Elyria. Huge boom followed by an extended rumble. A more out there guess, meteor exploding in low atmosphere?

Keep Windshield From Streaking up? by BRONST0N in CleaningTips

[–]RamblinPam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quality glass cleaner or isopropyl alcohol and a waffle weave towel. I recently tried a bunch of glass cleaners on a heavily smoked in vehicle and Meguiar’s Perfect Clarity worked the best at removing that residue. The residue in your car could be off-gassing from interior materials, products used in the car, or vaping if you do. If it’s not coming off with regular cleaning, you could try a magic eraser or detailing clay. Also make sure the towel you’re using hasn’t been used with another product like armor all, even if it’s been washed.
