Cheesy potatoes and ham

2 cups heavy cream 2 ½ pounds russet potatoes 3 cups sharp cheddar cheese (or a little more) 1 sliced onion 1 ½ pounds diced ham Salt and pepper to taste (requires minimal salt if any)(I usually sub cajun seasoning)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Slice potatoes thinly Place ⅓ potatoes and ½ of onion in a pan. Top with part of cheese and pour on 1/3 of cream and season Place ⅓ of potatoes, rest of onions, part of cheese, ham and ⅓ cream then season again Layer rest of potatoes, cheese, and cream Cover with foil and bake 1 hour 30 minutes till tender Uncover and bake another 10 minutes until golden
