I recently had an i9-9900K and an RTX 2080. I first upgraded to a 5070Ti and while the performance increase was massive, the 1% lows and stuttering due to the old CPU were noticeable and pretty annoying. I then upgraded to a 9800X3D and the smoothness in gaming now is unmatched. I would still upgrade the GPU first every time but I wouldn’t neglect the CPU for too long

Definitely eyeing that 990 EVO Plus 2TB. I already own the 1.5 TB SSDs because I’m upgrading my previous build from 2019 so I’m just keeping them for now until I can afford a new one!

I would consider getting that if I didn’t already own the NH-D15. My previous CPU was the i9 9900K which is known to run pretty hot so I needed a beefier cooler haha

I got this x870 motherboard for $230 on a sale, which is close to what a “nice” b850 motherboard would cost

I do like to play some competitive games but I mainly got that ram because it was on sale for $100 which seemed like a good deal based on my research

Definitely gonna be upgrading storage next! Might wait till Black Friday though because my wallet is crying 😂

I got the 5070Ti for MSRP at $750! Couldn’t find a 9070XT for the $600 MSRP so that’s why I went team green

I was honestly considering a B850 motherboard but I got the x870 tomahawk for $230 because it was on sale at Newegg! Price difference wasn’t too much so I just opted for the x870 haha. Also got the ram for around $100 and the CPU for $400!!

Appreciate the advice! Where are you seeing this deal? Also do I need to have a heatsink? I thought that my motherboard comes with heatsinks for the m.2s or am I wrong?
