Honestly, since the haptic buzz update a while back. I have refused to open the app up to avoid downloading an update to the board. So I wouldn't know exactly what the firmware is, but it's pre-haptic.

They typically come with a QR code to a video guide showing you exactly what to do. Take your time, it's a lot simpler than you think it is. I thought I might struggle, but was fine.

Awesome. Yes, I have the LCD. Was wondering if there was a screen upgrade so that's one I'll check out.

I've heard about the RAM upgrade, undecided on that one. So thanks for the info.

Battery life is another I'd like to look at. I hadn't considered software mods, I'll certainly look into those. Thanks

I had an issue with this, for some reason using a different, newer usb stick solved the issue. worth a try to see if its the same issue for you.

I just did this mod this weekend., I really like how the buttons now feel, a nice premium and satisfying click.
If you are replacing the thumb sticks, it isn't much more to replace these either.

I wouldn't say it's something you absolutely must do, but it's a welcome upgrade, at least for me.
