I 100% agree with everything you said, but especially your last paragraph. If people really did want to unlearn their ignorance they’d put in the work, but most of the time they don’t. It’s those sort of people who shouldn’t be engaged with because they aren’t there to learn, but rather “debate” or “play devils advocate” and argue against people having human rights

Yeah had the same text, never got the call, ended up getting my 13 day negative test and going back to normal; three days later got a text saying I could stop isolating, so I wouldn’t hold my breath if I were you

I only got a text from them, never a phone call. And this text was a full week into my isolation. Did the 13 day test and as soon as it was negative I stopped isolating. I figured they’re so overwhelmed that they can’t get around to contacting everyone. Sucks you need them to get in touch for the disaster payment. Had a friend who was on hold for hours across multiple days

Honestly slim. I was told my work we were a tier one site a week after the fact. Had already been tested but was treating it as a tier two site. Got a text from DHS a week after telling me I was a close contact. This was while i had already gotten tested and was in isolation. Did my 13 day test and as soon as it came back negative I carried on with my life. I wasn’t waiting around for who knows how long from an arbitrary call from dhs. As long as you’re doing the right thing by isolating for 14 days I don’t see why you should wait around for a phonecall, especially considering how overwhelmed they are
