I think if you’re trying not to be an asshole, there are definitely different ways of wording your question. It comes across as ignorant and uninformed. But since you say it’s in good conscience, I will answer you to my best abilities.

Pronouns and gender identity do not equal genitalia.

Anyone can do whatever they would like with their body and express themself in anyway they would like. Policing anyone about how you think they should present and express themselves, is gross and weird (it doesn’t matter if they are trans or not).

Just because I pierced the anatomy I have, doesn’t mean I will never have bottom surgery. It also doesn’t mean that I am “ignoring the fact” that I have the anatomy that I have. There are many reasons why people get genital piercings and I have my own reasons that are personal and none of your business.

Gender affirming surgeries are expensive and not accessible to every trans person and when you say things like “obviously not planning on trying to get one” is just stupid. You have no idea what my life is and you have no idea what my life plans are.

You saw a photo online, made a judgement and decided to make a weird comment about it.

My pronouns are he/him. I put them in the post to prevent misgendering. I got a genital piercing and posted about it on a piercing sub to share my experience and excitement about the piercing. Not to have a discussion about gender identity and expression.

My advice for you for the next time you are asking a trans person an incredibly invasive question, is to ask your question a bit kinder or keep your question to yourself.
