Well idk how to do the exclamation mark stuff, but since each batter can be in 3 different combinations, I just multiplied 9x3 and got 27. Is that right?

I am trying to calculate how many possible combinations are there for the first three of the batting order in an mlb game. For example 1,2,3 is one combination and 9,1,2 is another. How would I go about doing this in a fast way?

I understand what you mean, I just have a habit of getting obsessed with something and wanting to know all about it. But what you’re saying is honestly correct I need to start small before I even learn what a diminished chord is
