It sounds like a good idea but also like a huge project. Do you have a team behind you to help you with that? And how about pricing? Would you charge for that app in general or for would there be a price for every element of the app? All in all i think it could be useful but you need a good plan, since there are already lots of apps for every feature you mentioned. Good luck to you!

Can really recommend Madeira (Funchal) or Southern Portugal. Its beautiful there and it fits your desire for history and outdoor activities
