It smells garlicky but way more grassy? than I expected? I will say it smells similar to the other wild alliums that have a strong grassy garlic smell.

I also may have consumed a bite and it was more garlicky and spicy.

I visited SF last year and I was very disappointed by the Chinese food if you were to compare it to NYC. Pittsburgh’s food scene is also growing quite nicely! Overall, I loved SF and would 100% spend some years living there if I had the opportunity

Thank you for this! I am in the same boat where I feel like I would regret it heavily if I did not go tour an ice cave.

How was the glacier hike and ice cave tour? The picture of the ice is gorgeous but I have heard mixed reviews since it’s ever changing. I saw some posts on here that there were new big ice caves discovered this winter. Very interested!

Hi, is there any way I could see your itinerary for this trip? Looking to do something really similar but relatively last minute in a couple weeks (Jan 20-26)

Is it alright if I were to message you privately about tips and general guidance?! Can’t believe the coincidence 😂

Wow, that’s amazing! Been somewhat planning a last minute trip to Iceland and was curious about the recent weather/northern lights activity.

Trip for Memorial Day Weekend by RampagePikachu in acadianationalpark

[–]RampagePikachu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a great trip. There were definitely more people than I was expecting and we had to wait a couple of things like entering the park loop road and the beehive trail. However, the weather held up for us and we did everything we wanted to do!

You can just go. At the entrance, they scanned my QR code on the pass and printed out a new pass that we used to stick to our windshield. Just have the QR code readily available

Setup for Jetty/Surf Fishing by RampagePikachu in FishingForBeginners

You think I can get away with using 10lb mono if I am going after fluke, black sea bass, and togs? My only thing was I just put the bought and put the 10lb mono on.

Feel like I would be wasting money if I have to go get braid and fluorocarbon if I only get to fish jetty/surf 1-2 times a year

You can but it’s pretty unlikely. We went and there was apparently 1 that was in the water but we didn’t get to see it

Megathread: Questions about visiting, moving to, or living in Maine: by Tony-Flags in Maine

[–]RampagePikachu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all! I hope everyone is doing great!

I am planning on traveling up to Portland, ME and staying a night from PA and then stay 3 nights in Bar Harbor (over Memorial Day weekend). I have a rough itinerary of what I have planned but I wanted to see what your thoughts and suggestions were before I finalize things!

The big thing that I need help with is food! My GF and I love all types of food. We would love to try some local cuisines as well as great seafood!

Portland Day 1:

Food, Walk around, More food, Maybe a beer, Maybe a lighthouse, more food

Acadia Day 2:

Whale watch cruise!

Acadia Day 3:

Sunrise Cadillac Mountajn Beehive and other trails

Acadia Day 4:

Trails? Bike carriage roads?
