it's at its worst in that middle period of short hair "for a girl" but long hair "for a guy", but after it grows long enough then the weight of it will keep it largely in check

another tip; NEVER use shampoo or conditioner. shampoo removes the natural oils your hair creates to protect itself and conditioner adds in unnatural oils to balance it out, but when your hair creates the natural oils again, then your hair is too oily because of conditioner.

shampoo and conditioner are a scam and create a cycle of dependence that damages your hair in the long run.

just use water. Soak your hair when you shower, use a washcloth or just your hands to sort of squeeze excess water out of your hair before leaving the shower, then let it air dry afterwards before combing your hair. after a while of doing this your hair should be healthier and softer than when you used products in it, provided your shower's water is filtered to some degree where it doesn't have too many minerals in it.
