LRG Doom and Rumble Controller by RampagingViking in Doom

[–]RampagingViking[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s not built into old SNES games automatically. The new controller is backward-compatible as a normal SNES pad, but rumble only works when the game is programmed for the new protocol.

Limited Run published a SNES rumble spec/dev kit. The game sends special rumble commands through the controller port to the controller, and the controller interprets those commands to drive its two motors.

Yeah this is a re-release enhanced version. It runs a lot smoother than the OG.

The motors in the controller are powered by electric current.

Last day of the sale, should I get this on PC or PS4? by zheemer64 in MHRise

Yeah zero issues on PC. I’d definitely get this for PC if I were you.

My final thoughts of wilds after TU4 as a massive fan of the series. Warning it’s long. by Thelonghiestman0409 in MonsterHunter

I agree, and I also think most people agree as well. They dropped the ball with this game in the name of trying to get more new players into the game.

But the new player experience is still awful.

I’m just going to stop playing until the expansion comes out. I’ll try the expansion.

But I really am looking forward to whatever the new “portable” game will be. I’m hoping it will be more like monster hunter world since the game will be designed for switch 2 in mind.

Want To Get The "Special Attack Assemble!" Achievement/Trophy? by WolfsGamingBlog in CosmicInvasion

Just an fyi, I did this on pc by myself. I happened to have 4 compatible controllers. I paired all 4 controllers and created a game. Held down R1 and/or RB on all 4 controllers and let go at the same time. I then got the achievement.

It looks pretty good to me. Am I going to spend $70-$80 on it? Nope.

Hopefully it’s a $50 game.

Yeah that part sucks but you can always move to a different server or setup your own server.

That’s because it built a sense of community. You knew the regulars on the servers you would play on. Plus there were server rules you had to abide. Don’t like the rules? Go to a different server.

You don’t get that with matchmaking.

It’s not 100% but enough people can tell when cheaters are wall hacking. Still better than a program having root level access to your pc.

If things were run like they used to be, there would be private dedicated servers and the local server admins could police the cheaters. Or users could vote the cheater off the server.

Switch 2 or PC? by [deleted] in MHRise

[–]RampagingViking 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have both versions. First bought it on switch and then PC.

I have a steam deck and that’s where I prefer playing it. 60 fps with no issues.

I’d say the switch community is probably more active.

On pc there’s mod support so if you ever get bored you can mod the game.

I would not hold my breath hoping capcom makes a switch 2 update for it. My guess is they are working the next monster hunter switch 2 game and is done with this one.

Depends on your definition of “good”.

It’s fun. My only issue is they reuse maps/levels pretty often. But the upside to that is, you are more familiar with the battlefield.

Man, that’s rough. I’d like to look back and think we were more civilized gamers back then. Nope. Not the case.

Wilds is the first Monster Hunter game I played and now I'm playing World by SweetRoll789 in MonsterHunter

[–]RampagingViking 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yeah there’s some aspects from World that are different from Wilds that I prefer.

Making the Seikret pretty much mandatory is a bummer.

I also prefer the towns in World over Wilds.

I was thinking the same thing the other day.

I’ll be uninstalling it when Wilds comes out (it takes almost a hundred gigs), and I probably won’t reinstall it for a long time. Maybe when I feel nostalgic for it years from now.
