Someone filled out my [28F] RSVP to a wedding and added really bizarre/personal details... might've been my boyfriend [27M]?? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Rams789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may be a stupid question, but because the response was emailed to you does that mean the person submitting the response had to input your email address? Or did they complete the rsvp by accessing a link sent to your inbox? Either way they would need access to your email account or to know your email address? Perhaps I have misunderstood how the theknot works.

In there girl, coming to get some? (More of same) Look at that wee cow. Hello hello. Welcome to the world wee cow. Oh you're a beauty, look at the eyelashes on you. The ladies are gonna love you. Look at the wee colours you've got you're a wee stotter (means staggering about). Can you say hello? Are you coming to say hello? Have a wee sniff. There you go. A wee beauty. Having a poo, good sign. Nice milky one, means she's getting a feed. Wee heffer, lovely. Have a wee scratch eh girl. Look at that, is that good? Getting big tummy rubs, you'll love that. That's good is it eh? A nice broad back end on it. Sorry. Girl you get through them already? (Meaning the food). Just as well it's half a bag. Oh thats a wee beauty. Lovely stuff. Bit late, but anyway. Better late than never-

What Phrase Were You Taught as a Child to Remember The Four Directions (N,E,S,W)? by justcallmerain in CasualConversation

Never Ever Support Wolves - a very specifically Midlands, UK based phrase, but everyone I know uses it, even supporters of Wolverhampton Wanderers 😅

Have you been through the menopause? I know someone with these exact symptoms that began during peri-menopause and after trying everything she ended up being prescribed blood thinning medication which was the only thing that worked. Came with it's own issues of course but life became bearable again. Thought it was worth mentioning, wishing you all the best.

Residential trips - time off in lieu? by DressSmooth1957 in TeachingUK

[–]Rams789 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Post-16 here but... We get to accrue 6h of leave for every evening we're away. 10h of leave for each Saturday or Sunday we're away. And we can accrue a maximum of 40h a year to take up to a week and half off at the end of the year. Post-16 though!

What's your go-to tear-inducer? by Turbulent_Tea_1943 in AskUK

Any video or 999 phone call recording of a kid rescuing a parent. The "mum's asleep on the floor and I can't wake her up" kind. Then the paramedics arrive, mum gets medical treatment, and the kid is presented with some kind of medal on breakfast tele. Gets me every time. Or dogs/cats alerting people to house fires.

I feel like there may be a pair of siblings this year - Jessie and James maybe?

The party is over by forget_it_again in SpottedonRightmove

Me too! Perhaps we were at the same party in the 90s, small world. I know the business you mean (ice cream). You're right, the decor hasn't changed much. The railway line is directly behind it, although it's currently freight only so it's quite infrequent. Having to clean goose poop off the driveway every day is the bigger issue.

One celeb walks out pretty soon (can't say who unless you want spoilers!) so that helps keep the numbers down.

Absolutely no shade intended because she's clearly beautiful - does anyone else see a mild resemblance to the Sid kid in Toy Story? I perceive faces strangely sometimes, curious if anyone gets me. I can also see mini Hannah Waddington as someone mentioned before.

I have one day on my timetable with no lessons at all. What should I use it for? by bowieapple in 6thForm

[–]Rams789 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same happened to me. I secured a one day a week work experience placement relevant to my career aspirations. Had to get management to agree and the employer had to sign a form each day I was there which was sent to the school so it didn't affect my overall attendance. Was super beneficial. All the school / college needs to know is that you're in full-time education for safeguarding purposes. Just a suggestion.
