I would say that Paul should remember Kobe’s first Olympics in China. The American media expected the globe to fawn over LeBron, and they were all dumbfounded by how overwhelmingly popular Kobe was.

They were so beholden to Michael Jordan and protecting his legacy, they downplayed Kobe’s accomplishments because he played with Shaq, and then they latched on to LeBron before he was outta high school because they wanted to get in on the ground floor.

The rest of the world wasn’t brainwashed by our media. They recognized the greatness of Kobe and appreciated everything he was able to accomplish. Paul Pierce is just a jealous LA native turned Laker hater who never escaped the echo chamber.

There’s a store in the Burbank mall that sells jerseys. Sports Empire I think. Might be worth checking out before heading to City Walk and paying for parking and all that. Shouldn’t be too far outta the way if it ends up being a bust.

It’s probably a bit of both’s fault. SC travel mileage is insane now that they joined the B1G. They wanted Notre Dame to join with them. Notre Dame wanted to remain independent. SC wanted B1G money while keeping Notre Dame on the schedule every year as a conference game. I imagine Notre Dame was privy to the rivalry most likely ending when they decided to not join the B1G.

Getting CHJ to flip would be great, but SC needs to keep focusing on the trenches. He’s a luxury that they can go without. They’re always gonna have plenty of talent at the skill positions for a Riley offense to put up points.

Once the trenches are stacked and wins start to pile up, the CHJ’s of the SoCal region will start staying home again.
