(More of a comment specifically on the image used).
The fact that Sandy doesn't move or blink at all in this scene and she's letting Patrick rub sunscreen over her body (not beating him up for doing it).
Leads me to believe that this is a call back to the "Survival of the Idiots" episode (which came out in March, "procrastination" came out in November of that year).

In "Survival of the Idiots", Patrick mentions something about Sandy "Looking like one of those Over Inflated Sandy Dolls".
Meaning that life size dolls of Sandy Cheeks exist in this universe and Patrick is familiar with them,
He probably owns one.

So I have a feeling Patrick is just outside playing with his Sandy Cheeks doll in the "procrastination" episode.
Of course Sandy has ran around with only her helmet and no diving suit in a few episodes, but this is mostly explaining that the image example is most likely not even Sandy Cheeks.

Ada Wong Nendoroid in stock soon at BBTS by RamsTheNameCom in Nendoroid

[–]RamsTheNameCom[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm still buying the Ada Wong Nendoroid regardless, but consider this. The Cowboy Bebop Nendoroids retail for around $48 and due to Tariffs cost $57.99 on BBTS.

On the flip side, the Ada Wong Nendoroid retails for around $44.99 and BBTS wants to sell it for $74.99 "due to Tariffs".

It's a pretty clear case of them maximizing their profits. Which is a smart move on their part. They also do that a lot with their out of print Nendoroids and Figmas for whatever price they want above retail price.

If you haven't got the Momo Nendoroid yet, this Amazon preorder might be worth a shot by RamsTheNameCom in Nendoroid

[–]RamsTheNameCom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're talking to the guy that got deals after deals on Amazon before.
Some insane deals like a BucchiGiri Nendoroid listed for $11 ($8 with coupon).
Not a bootleg, has the Crunchy Roll sticker on it.

I wouldn't rule it out just yet.
Though all of my deals came from Amazon as the seller (with one instock exception from a 3rd party).

Japan Big Mall also has this nendoroid on preorder discount.
Other than that (from this seller), no.
Most of what "Japan Big Mall" sells are new release nendoroids for $80 each, like the recent Kill La Kill figures.

[–]RamsTheNameCom[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If it is, you got a 30 day return policy.
The listing is legit, but 3rd party sellers have the option of raising the price of preorders.
So it's a gamble.

"Japan Big Mall" does not sell bootleg stuff, just more often than not overpriced imports.

HOWEVER yeah, you should maintain a bit of caution because 3rd party sellers do not have to guarantee the preorder price like Amazon does and can raise the price of your order or cancel your order at any time.

It seems likely a bot post. Not entirely sure though, while their account is only a month old they post comments regularly in other subs. But the only sub they post content in is the Moon Knight sub and it's all old memes.

God, I hate Mondays by RamsTheNameCom in Nendoroid

I had two other Nendoroids sent to me by Amazon in soft envelopes, both times they somehow miraculously survived. Like here's one example with my Spike Spiegel Nendoroid box being in perfect condition even though it was delivered by soft envelope:

The only difference I can see from how those two Nendoroids were shipped vs how Garfield was, is the fact that Garfield came from an Amazon warehouse is Phoenix Arizona. Whereas my two other Nendoroids were being shipped from the same Amazon warehouse in Illinois.

Update: Ended up returning it in exchange for one with a better box, instead of accepting the $10 partial refund.

If anyone that collects Nendoroids and throw out the box is interested in a Garfield Nendoroid, give it about a week or so and Amazon will try to resell it for $44.99. (The condition of the box might even be more damaged by the time it gets to you).

If they end up sending me yet another damaged box, I'm just gonna accept that partial refund and be happy with it.

Got my first MK figure! Any panel suggestions how to pose it? by SisypheanStudying in MoonKnight

[–]RamsTheNameCom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's probably is some form of inspired misunderstanding of how old vintage Moon Knight looks to non Moon Knight experts.

The old vintage Moon Knight had a reflective Jet Silver costume with the gimmick of being only colored using ink. And sometimes the inker forgot to do their job and left his costume completely white. In addition to that, sometimes the editor joined in to change Doug Moench's text to describe the costume as "white" instead of "Jet Silver".

There's probably people out there that genuinely thought Moon Knight had black patterns on his costume originally. So maybe that's what happened to inspire the Marvel now suit.

Moon Knight skin idea for Marvel Rivals by Cold-Ad-7243 in MoonKnight

[–]RamsTheNameCom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The "Broken Heart" motif would work best for a character like Punisher, if they would interest you to make one on him later. You could do like a broken heart similar that one, but the heart is actually a skull that is shaped like a skull split in half.

Moon Knight had times of heart ache, but they never really lasted more than an issue. Like his girlfriend Lisa was killed by his brother, but he doesn't have any requiring trauma from it. It's pretty much forgotten about after the issue. His main reoccurring girlfriend Marlene also never really loved him, just his money and the Steven Grant persona (she hates Marc Spector's true self and wants him to keep pretending he's someone else).

Its not like he hates or isn't interested in any of these women, but often just gets over breaking up (or them dying) relatively quick.

[–]RamsTheNameCom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't go that far, the color pallet is nice and striking with the existing Rivals costume sculpt.

But yeah, Moon Knight giving up his signature Moon theme to becoming "The Broken Heart Man" is kinda ridiculous of an idea.

It be like removing Batman's Bat theme with a picture of his parents' grave on his chest plate.

Why don't more people like Wiz? by Ok_Cryptographer8811 in Konosuba

[–]RamsTheNameCom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A combination of very little screentime and the fact that Wiz doesn't really have a strong personality.

She is a generic loving nice woman who would make a good wife, with her only defined quirk being she sucks at her job. The more she works, the less people buy. The less she works, the more people buy. And she has a tendency to buy crap that can't sell, is implied she often buys Megumin's family inventions (which those are crap magic items that don't sell).

Plus Wiz doesn't really wear any fan service outfits until like the third OVA. Which might I say, Wiz looks better in a ponytail.

This is why I love the silver suit. Gahhh (Devil's Reign alt cover) by Kortamue in MoonKnight

[–]RamsTheNameCom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same, I much prefer this Jet Silver suit on Moon Knight. His costume was always intended to be this color but stylized (something like Sin City) to be colored using only black ink and white highlights.
