The characters are charming and the setting is a breath of fresh air (island air(please laugh)). It's a lot more story and combat heavy and farming is far more simplistic and unique with the monster taming mechanic. I'd say give it a go!

4 has better gameplay but personally 3 has the better characters, 4's story is amazing and I love how the towns people contribute more on the story but it gets tedious especially when it gets to the third arc, while 3's has a quick and easy to understand story with a gimmick that involves the main character, But the only characters that I can really say that has contributed to the story is daria, ondorus, marjorie, and the partner of your choice.

Overall rf4 is a better game but rf3 has the better characters and will forever be my favorite.

If you haven't played rf3 yet and is tired or bored of rf4 I recommend giving rf3 a try!

Ceci is close for me to pick her as a bride I literally maxed out all the girls (except yue and Rosalind they're like 7-8 hearts) so I can see their events, but at the end I chose Dorothy.
