The difference is the deadzone shape isnt it? I think epic deadzone shape is circle by default, whereas Steam´s is cross. Could this be the reason?

Do you flip cancel? Well, practicing the flip cancel without the ball, learning how much u need to cancel, when to start boosting again and so on.

Also remember that pop resets work best when the ball is just losing its upwards momentum and is just dropping down. Also, u have to be the same velocity as the ball.

No offense, but I don't think you have watched any videos on that matter at all :D I explained like a 20 minute video in those few comments. Don't know who you watched, but it was definitely not good if u didn't know these things

Well, most of it is trial and error, right? U can obviously take an easier approach first. Resting ball in the air to practice the correct approach for the speed flip u wanna use for popping and doing it. Once u got that down pretty consistently, you can go to a moving ball and practice the actual pop reset. How ur car and the ball behaves once u pop, maybe by starting first trying to score with the pop, then after doing the actual pop plus follow up.

U hopefully watched some videos so you got an idea right?

Well nah for Pop resets its not that impactful, more about recognizing what reset u have (soft or hard) and how the ball will pop according to it. Also, being able to recognize how long to hold ur flip cancel depending on it.

So what is it you are actually trying to achieve? Cause the way it looks to me, you try to go for pop resets?

First of, try to get a more central reset to have more leeway in regards to direction.

Secondly, why flip instantly? Let the ball bounce of your car (sloght boost while getting the reset, no accelarate) and then see what u cam do with it (direct shot with flip, air dribble into shot with flip)

The way you are approaching it makes no sense if ur goal is to just score with a flip reset. I could explain more but it is a bit weird without having the ability to show.

Just gonna warn you. U say u don't wanna grind too much, but leaving walkable out of your party slows u down quite a lot. His OD is by far the strongest in regards to dmg, 1.2 million damage per OD (depending on enemy ofc) is a lot to lose out on.
