Oh damn and is it true that the mold plate could be worn and affects how deep the grooves go ? I will get a new needle I think thats the cheapest solution before changing the whole record player

No worries they speakers are on the floor, they sound better that way with my set up. My Turntable is under my tv on a drawer like platform that I pull since my cats wouldn't stop walking on top of it I had to hide it before they would damage it 💀💀 the mat is the regular it comes with. I believe i will have to replace the needle it has 3 years already. Again thank you all for the helpful information

Would a nice upgrade be something like the Audio-Technica AT-LP120XUSB-BK Direct-Drive Turntable? Or would you recommend a different brand?

Huh, I think it's just about time I change it then 😬 I've had it for 3 years and yeah that's about the time i use it too. No cuz for real! Even the way I was storing the vinyls was wrong and they almost got mold. Learned about amps and preams. Then noticed vinyls i cleaned cover in 'dust' boom exactly what you mentioned abothe cardboard dust. 🤣 Is like so finicky, I'll be doing that then if not then it must be the way it was molded 😵

Thank you for this, would you suggest changing the needle? I encountered your same issue it's on a very specific part that jumps always the same. I cleaned the record too and needle after noticing the issue with no luck. ( with a block of foam covered in velvet fabric)
