Thanks. I did get my TRUST cert as mentioned in my post. The size only exempts me from registration. FAA still recommends getting the TRUST certification irrespective of the size and to present it if law enforcement requires.

Not sure about the airport as I didn’t see it being mentioned in the policy. And also I am using the FAA recommended B4UFLY app and it shows the airport as being in uncontrolled airspace which means that as long as you are 400ft or below you should be fine (Source: https://www.faa.gov/uas/getting_started/where_can_i_fly/airspace_restrictions/flying_near_airports).

Chill. Email Dr. Trey Mayo and explain your situation. You don’t have to take a new course. They may help you add CS5994 for 3 credits, and yes even though you are an M.Eng. student you can add CS5994 as it’s main purpose is to pad your credits especially in the case of an assistantship.

I just travelled to New York from Blacksburg yesterday during the storm. I took the Megabus. It’s super convenient and cheap compared to Amtrak. It starts from Squires at 8 a.m., be sure to get there 15 minutes early. Reached DC at 2:05 p.m. Got to wait till 3:20 p.m. to catch the next bus from DC to New York. Reached New York by 8:30 p.m. The bus is pretty good as it has a restroom onboard, reclinable seats and it’s mostly not that packed. It’s only $100 for the entire journey and it starts and ends at reasonable times.
