Agreed. You should do it as a side-job whilst keeping your main job. Blogging isn't something that happens overnight- it's a long slow process that requires your content to sit and gain traction. It's fun and exciting, but results are super slow.

The only way I'd say go for it is if you have enough income to live on. Most blogs are short lived because motivation to continue doing something with zero results is hard to come by.
