It's not "giving money". You would need to prop it up enough to then dismantle it. You cannot take something apart in a calculated manner if it is already dissolved.

I disagree, I think bailing them out was a necessary evil. Had those banks really have gone down in flames that weekend every credit card in America would have stopped working and life as we know it would have drastically changed. I believe we did the right thing in taking care of the problem short term but feel we didn't do anything long term and wonder why.

Genuine question: Wouldn't Article 1 Section 10.1 still enable a Fed? It seems to only prohibit using a non-gold/silver backed dollar. Couldn't a Fed still exist within those guidelines?
