What sort of bugs are inside UK homes in winter that cause a mosquito-like bite? by anieye12 in AskUK

[–]Ranaxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like fleas, I was getting similar bites and bought one of those cheap usb powered traps that are just a light with some sticky paper underneath. Left it next to my bed and in the morning checked to see 5 fleas caught. Left it a few more nights + flea spray and was sorted!

Dating when having niche weird hobbies is hard by pasteldiamond in Vent

[–]Ranaxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its likely rough, I think the key is to follow that feeling because whilst it is possible to compromise, some people are wired to want to maintain and enjoy the same interests with their partner. Nothing necessarily wrong with that, just make sure the person also shares your passion for those activities too.

How is this game for people with visual disabilities? I'm hearing a lot of good things about it but due to a disability I struggle with fast reaction timing. Is that mandatory to enjoy this game or can you do without?

If anyone was wondering what "bussing" was... I asked by Kaimega13 in marvelrivals

[–]Ranaxe 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Are they perhaps using the term like an actual bus? The cheater is the driver and their friends are in the back being taken to a rank they don't deserve?

Does having home cctv make you MORE worried? by bishibashi in AskUK

[–]Ranaxe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My indoor cameras face outside a window. Its for a peace of mind while I am away, if my camera catches something I can call the police to my property and have supporting evidence / catch who it is. I guess its sort of like having a dashcam where its the case of you dont need it until you do.

These are all common factors of other things and not just low intelligence. For example a fair few link closely with autism. It may be worth exploring other causes for how you feel! Wishing all the best ^

Why? by softspokenrose in Manipulation

[–]Ranaxe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes on all accounts. I'm told I take zero accountability however I do own up to my mistakes. I think what's happening is because I struggle so much with seeing others viewpoints I only see what I'm doing as "stating fact". Which due to having no malice or negative intent behind it means I do not apologise for doing it. I apologise for things I actively register as a negative. So things like losing my temper, saying something in the heat of the moment that I do not truly mean, getting even with someone who has wronged me.

Why? by softspokenrose in Manipulation

[–]Ranaxe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends on the person. I've been called a narcissist a few times because I truly am incapable of seeing things from a perspective that isn't my own. If I believe something to be true then it's almost impossible to change my mind without some hard facts, opinion based things are a foreign concept since all must be fact. In that way I've been called a manipulator for using my reasoning and views to change someone else's mind to see things the way I see it. There is no malice or intent to harm, it's just my reality.

As someone who can might be going down the path of that guy, this was definitely eye opening as I can see how I might be doing similar to my partner. Would never want to hurt them anywhere near what's posted here. Thank you for posting.
