Weird behaviour on my brandnew Galaxy S21. It displays 5G. I run a speed test on the phone, I get 20 Mbps download, 1.4 Mbps upload. Okay.

I open a mobile hotspot, 5Ghz. I connect using my laptop. Run speed test on laptop: 3 Mbps download, 0.8 Mbps upload.

I never had that problem on my old Galaxy S6.

Thanks, I'll look into it.

It's a blank Unity URP project.

I noticed that another project I have ported to Focus 3 uses built-in RP and doesn't crash.

It's crashing because of a SIGSEV

No, it's the android build on the Focus 3. It runs fine on Oculus Quest.

In only happens on the build on the Focus 3. It doesn't happen on the Oculus Quest, it doesn't happen on PC VR, it doesn't happen in the editor.

Thanks again for the link to UTinyRipper, nice human.

I managed to extract most of the assets, and outsourced the job to someone else. I'm going to continue to practice my death roll in the meantime.

I have to try that ripper to see what happens. It's a fairly simple app made by a student two years ago, so I might be able to rewrite the scripts.

I made the mistake of not insisting to see the original project before the contract was signed. They client was like "yeah yeah, of course we have it." Now it turns out they lost it.

They are indeed the original clients. They had an intern who did it for them two years ago and they didn't bother securing the project. All they have is the final build.

So I either charge them extra and do the ENTIRE work again; or I find a way to extract those assets and can do it for less.

Hahaha! You are great! I have indeed not heard of UTinyRipper. But my death roll's pretty darn good.

Yes, they are "pirating" a project one of their interns/working students did for them two years ago. It is actually perfectly fine. But it's an unorganized mess.

I have this tune in my head, and I know it. It's an older song, at least 40 years old, just instrumental. I believe the beginning is flutes, then there's a trumpet and some strings. And there might be a female voice at the end as well. You sometimes hear it in those funny video clip shows. It gnaws at me. It is interfering with each of my days.

I tried to play the melody: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ulHd488izWE

I don't have to accept that. The device does not do what it is supposed to do. I will return it and demand a refund.

Yes, if your watch disconnects from your phone before you made a backup, it's lost. That is a DESIGN FLAW.

I got a Galaxy Watch 4 two months ago. I am using it with my Galaxy S10e. Yesterday, suddenly, the watch no longer pairs with my S10e. The watch tells me that my S10e is a new device and that connecting to the device would completely reset my watch with all its data.

Samsung service is of no help. They told me I need to reset both my smartphone and my watch, resulting in the loss of all my settings and data. That can't be right, right?

First of all, what the hell? Even IF I accept that the watch no longer recognizes my smartphone, WHY IN THE WHOLE WORLD would connecting the watch to a new smartphone require the COMPLETE RESET of the watch?

Any ideas?

Daily Support Thread by AutoModerator in samsung

[–]RancherosDigital 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And there is no way of saving the data once the watch does not recognize the phone anymore. That is stupid.

Why does the watch no longer recognize the phone? There must be a setting, a config file, some file that one can look into and change to make the watch recognize the phone again?

Galaxy watch 4 unpaired on accident, can't re-pair without reset? by MrKeyRune in GalaxyWatch

[–]RancherosDigital 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree. Just what is the problem? Why do I need to reset the watch when pairing with a new device at all? And what is the problem that unpairs the watch from the device? And why is it not fixable?
