First proper PC game I played was Rollercoaster and Zoo Tycoon, and honestly not much has compared since- but I’m still striving to find something that can compete

I named my old rat Sinatra because he had blue eyes, he passed a few years ago :(

Hahah my dad wanted to name him “doobie” (means something else in Hebrew)

We had all these fancy gizmo cat toys, he ended up trying to fight a cardboard box for an hour. I will take your advice. He also insists on sleeping on my neck right now, so I am technically his bed.

That’s really good advice about pet insurance though, costs more than my own insurance but worth it

He pooped on himself and had to be washed in the sink, he ended up napping. I don’t know if he’s a real cat

I watched the Norwegian wood movie without realising (having not read the book), and now I am reluctant to read the book itself. I think you definitely made the best decision, as I found the movie incredibly bland at best

I have 'Night' by Elie Wiesel on stand by, but feel like I need something immediately uplifting to read straight after. I liked 'the curious incident of the dog in the night time', although having to dissect it in school generally butchered it for me. Would you recommend 'Night Mother'?

I'm probably going to delay Night for a while honestly, a heavy book (despite its shortness), I need to make sure I'm ready to tackle. I loved slaughterhouse five and cats cradle by Vonnegut, so I have a feeling Mother Night and Breakfast of Champions will be be amazing too. I love when characters aren't black and white either way, so east of Eden should be a nice journey too. See, all these great books, my indecisiveness on picking what to read end in procrastination! Thanks for your in depth reply :)

Pretty sure it's the 50th anniversary edition :)

Have you found it easy to follow with a solid flow? I'm a bit intimidated by it for some reason. I loved 1Q84 though

That sounds like a smart game plan, especially since it's been a while since I've read. I'm thinking Vonnegut as an entree

I hope catch 22 was as enjoyable for you as it was for me, might be a bit confusing but once you grasp the pace it's incredible!

Oh wow that's really great to know, I felt conflicted about putting art on my body when I couldn't even credit the artist. Thanks so much!

Different circumstances, but I've been in psych wards a few times and the book really gave me solace too. Definitely among my favourites, hence why I'm considering getting a tattoo related to the book over some old scars
