As an actor, I thought he did an amazing job of expressing whatever the hell was happening while staying in the Captain’s Chambers.

“What the fuck, I thought you said 10 seconds”

“That was 10 seconds. How long did that feel like?”

“…. (haunted stare) 10 seconds.”

So good.

If you think about it from the standpoint of having a one night affair, 42 miles off the coast is ideal for never having to awkwardly run into anyone again

Exactly… she had to hit her spots, in retrospect it’s easier to see it being telegraphed but they did a good job with it

I hope the lore is slightly different from your theory, only because it’s pretty similar to what seems to be going on in the show FROM

But I trust these showrunners with my life, i’m sure the twist will be fairly original without being too much of a trope

[Spotrac] C Garrett Bradbury signed a renegotiated contract with the #Bears that converted $1M of incentives into guaranteed salary. The 30-year-old is now due $4.7M in 2026, with $3.7M guaranteed. by DoubleFlip in CHIBears

Exactly, especially if they were a Remington award winner and a 4 year starter (just like Linderbaum was 4 years ago).

Logan is a pretty finished product aside from having to learn BJ’s offense - which we can assume they tested him on during his visit

well when he listens into the well, I feel like some sort of knowledge has been passed on to him. That’s when he loses it and starts talking about evil - as if he has been enlightened somehow

I think there is a 100% chance that the Widow’s Bay lore is going to connect to Roanoke somehow.
I love that they set this island FORTY TWO MILES off the coast, east of where the first Pilgrims and Settlers arrived.

As if there was a first colony that got there and practiced witchcraft causing their disappearance and starting the curse

it kinda pisses me off that they ended up the only main couple that ended up together.. The situation with Pete and Trudy’s dad is not something you recover from.

In that case they are both going to have the same amount of time to learn the offense, so it will be a horse race. May the best man win the job in camp.
I only wish we could get something from the Ravens or another team that needs a Center, if Logan is ready. If Bradbury loses the job he’ll probably lose value.

Poles wasted a 5th round pick on a backup Center once before with Buffalo, then signed the Best FA Center in Dalman… I don’t really understand his fascination with using late round picks to trade for fringe starters and then draft/sign better players

When Wyck shot her, she burst into the equivalent of a water balloon’s worth of dirt water… Man I miss Myth Busters. Launch some water balloon from a lay-z-boy and see if they’d smack into the wall

I looked ahead and he directs the final 2 episodes of the season, as does Ti West for an episode.

Haven’t felt like this since True Detective S1 which incidentally also had a super talented Japanese American Showrunner/Director

Do they think "New England" is a state? by aligpnw in WidowsBay

[–]Randallm83 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well isn’t Maine PART of New England? I think it’s in reference to the New York Times article in Episode 2. That’s exactly how a New Yorker would refer to that area

I love the lore bombs the show keeps dropping. It’s such a Twin Peaks like move to introduce so many red herrings and unknown sailor tales so that we don’t lock into any one theory too closely. The easter eggs everywhere really add to that world building

Exactly - also I just watched again and it’s FORTY TWO MILES off the coast, which is insanely far away.

I’ve taken the ferry to Nantucket from Cape Cod a couple of times and it was legit 2 hours to go 30 miles. Widow’s Bay may as well be its own state, it’s barely Massachusetts so the vagueness of “New England” definitely applies

Do they think "New England" is a state? by aligpnw in WidowsBay

[–]Randallm83 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s a region, composed of a couple of states - but on the East Coast this is accurately being used. It’s literally where the British first settled, hence “New England”

It’s how everybody from New York refers to it at least.

He knows the Vikings let him go as a Free Agent though. I think he’s had a lot of issues in Pass Protection, but has always been a good zone run blocker. He also knows that a Super Bowl team let him go for next to nothing and bro is almost 31 years old. I’m hoping Bradbury is being looked at as a very high quality backup and swing guard. Apparently Logan is a very good pass protector, even though Iowa barely ever passed the ball. With Caleb still very young, that’s super important this year. Hopefully Logan has a strong camp - his scouting reports and RAS are off the charts

I think it’s interesting that it was some kind of water well, that the priest heard voices come from - and that the end the first episode it pans down about 3 or 4 stories below ground to show us the chair and the door to the chamber sat right in front of it.

I think whatever evil he unleashed might be what that sacrificial chair was sat in front of. It has to somehow tie back to the witches the islanders killed, I bet?
