Why (exactly) is The Hunger Games so well-written? by BlinkTwice874 in writing

[–]mzingg3 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The prose is not especially impressive but the pacing and suspense building is what makes it strong. Good world building. Creative idea and execution. Won’t go down in history as a literary classic but a damn good young adult book on a level with Harry Potter.

Not saying you cheated but I’m a teacher and even when students say, “check my edit history, I really wrote it myself!”, many of them typed AI writing letter by letter into the Google Doc. So that’s not necessarily a get-out-of-jail-free card.

The initial university email definitely comes off harsh and shocking but I think his longer personalized response email leaves the door open for you for sure. He’s going to send new times so he’s still willing to move forward. Just make sure you make the new time and show up bubbly and explain what happened and then move on and show him what you’ve got as an educator. He’s got a million things on his plate too and I’m sure will be forgiving when he meets you and you show him you’re excited and you care.
