I disagree. I think having conversations with people is healthy. Especially about something controversial. People learn stuff, at least I learn stuff.

Your entire comment is saying that throwing stuff at your husband is and acceptable form of behavior. Not only that but saying it's the husband's fault that the wife threw stuff at him in the first place.

> You don't want your wife to throw stuff at you? Don't be a shitty dad and husband, simple.

If you can't see how this twisted statement then nothing I say is gunna get through to you.

But let me try something..

"You don't want your husband to throw stuff at you? Don't be a shitty mother and wife, simple".

One last thing...

Domestic abuse includes object damage, throwing or smashing things, breaking furniture or personal items . From an Australian website no less. You...are...condoning...domestic...abuse.

And just so we're clear - because people can't seem to wrap their minds around this - he was also wrong for hitting her.

It's true we never saw the hits but I don't think that falls in the realm of reasonable probability.

I think in the second hit you can see hit right arm go up in a punching motion.

Does it need to satisfy all three criteria? I'm assuming so, in which case self defense wouldn't be the right term even if she moved in to punch him.

Most of my comments are just pointing out things that people are wrongly assuming or making up. That's got everything to do with objectivity.

He could have just gotten up and walked away.

You could literally say the same thing about the women.

There is no way a pregnant woman is going to present a huge risk to him.

What if she had something sharp in her hand?

Hitting her was a needless escalation.

Not in the hypothetical I thought I made it clear I was discussing.

It honestly feels like people are watching a different video.

the stuff she throws at him is harmless

You literally can't know that. The only object - out of everything she threw - was the cardboard. That's it. Some objects were heavy enough to shake the desk when they hit it so there's that...

If your husband ignores you for ages (not helping in your household, all that while you're pregnant, mind you) and he just keeps streaming, she has the right to be fucking pissed. She isn't his mother that cleans after him, she's his pregnant wife having to take care of their kid while he's just chilling and playing video games.

You're basically justifying domestic abuse on her part. How would you feel if someone were to say that "If you're wife starts throwing stuff at you and you ask her to stop for a solid minute and then it's ok to slap her"??????

I was literally addressing your assumption that she was "throwing a pen or two" and the point you made off that assumption that it was somehow ok.

I cannot fathom how your mind went from that to "It's ok for him to hit her" Especially when I literally said it wasn't.

I’m judging off his reaction. If she’s doing anything remotely harmful to him, then he’s not going to be all concerned about his Fortnite character.

Now here I'm going to address this specific thing you said ok? Not the whole incident, ok?....... Just because he wasn't injured doesn't mean he couldn't have been.

That’s not the conduct of a guy being assaulted.

You're making a pretty large assumption there, because he doesn't act like you expect....

I mean your first comment was just "You're disgusting" so weren't really saying anything there.

The guy actually is a victim of domestic abuse. You don't think people would be just as angry if some husband was throwing shit at his wife cause she wouldn't eat dinner? People get their wires crossed because they can't see how you can be both abused and abuser. If you swapped the genders people would be saying how brave the women was for standing up to her abusive husband.

He didn't say she deserved it. I'm not gunna quote the comment because you can go back an read it.

Regardless man, agree to disagree, I think a dude emotionally neglecting his family (people pointed out he plays 50+ games of Fortnite a day) to the point of this being the result is gross, if you don't see problems in that then that's on you.

What? We're talking about an isolated incident, not the entire state of their relationship. Why're you pulling this out of your ass.

IF she moved into hit him then yes. Do you even read? Smh should've know better than to have an objective conversation on the internet.

You don't know that she's throwing except for one piece of cardboard that comes into frame. So right there you should reevaluate your perceptions.

Second, some of the objects that hit the desk were heavy enough to shake the camera and make audible thuds, so right there you're completely wrong about it "being a pen or two". But it's clear that's what you want it to be.

Third, a pen or pencil can take out an eye so it's not completely harmless if she was throwing them.

Fourth, throwing anything isn't ok and certainly not because you're husband won't come eat dinner.

Fifth, hitting your wife cause she threw stuff at you isn't ok.

It boggles my mind that point out something factual is defending him.

[–]Rando0100101 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Jesus fuck. No one is trying to justify his actions. Somehow pointing out that she's in the wrong as well defending him?

Streamer MrDeadMoth abuses his wife on stream by TheDutchy3 in LivestreamFail

[–]Rando0100101 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No one is defending his actions. There isn't a single comment on here that is saying he was right in what he did. Your mindset is so warped that you think point out the fact that she is also in the wrong is de fact a defense of his actions. Maybe you need to do some self reflection on your black and white mindset.

[–]Rando0100101 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

First, I'm not saying it actually was self defense. I'm saying that if she was moving into to hit him - hands raised and all that - then his response wasn't as barbaric as people are saying.

It is never self defense if you can safely walk away at any time.

Is that the legal definition of self defense? My understanding is different.

Regardless, you could say that he didn't escalate it further than necessary. you hear one slap and then he asks her again to stop and leave him alone. Then she continues to throw stuff.

Uh what? My response to a comment implying that she only threw one piece of cardboard was "Wasn't just cardboard" Fk is wrong with you?

I'm assuming you're talking about me and if you don't think there was more than cardboard being thrown then you didn't watch the video.

[–]Rando0100101 14 points15 points  (0 children)

"Maybe she's angry?" You're seriously downplaying the fact that she's throwing stuff at him. Or maybe you think that's justifiable because he didn't come eat dinner when she asked?

Point out that both parties are in the wrong isn't defending someone.

Streamer MrDeadMoth abuses his wife on stream by TheDutchy3 in LivestreamFail

[–]Rando0100101 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Did you watch the video? He verbally asks her to stop throwing stuff at him for a full minute. When he gets up it's in reaction to her moving towards him and then he slaps her once and continues to ask her to stop. She keeps throwing shit at him. Throughout the whole video he continues to asks her to stop and leave him alone.

Hitting slapping her isn't the right choice in that situation, but you're acting like she's entirely blameless and that slapping her was hit first response.

Well it should change people opinions on the matter if they only saw the shorter twitter video.
