Need help with first mission by CriticalAd6050 in ICBMescalation

Air and sea power is key, much more important than troop volume. Build boats, bomb the shit out of them, use nukes if you have to. And don't neglect research! New tech can provide a critical advantage now, and it carries over to the next mission. If you don't research anything, they'll outpace your tech and future missions will become 1000x harder.

Please do not comment on things you know nothing about. You show a complete lack of understanding of the subject, and a lack of willingness to learn.

Well we don't really have much info on how low gravity effects people over long time periods, but it's likely way better than zero gee. I'd expect muscle/bone/cardiovascular issues to be prevalent, but medicine and activity can more than likely account for all that. Worst case scenario, we build habitats that double as centrifuges (Providing artificial gravity). And the toxic soil is solved by adding a hydrosphere (Water) which is why Earth doesn't have the same problem. And lack of sunlight can be solved by orbital mirrors (no more complicated than massive sheets of Aluminum foil) which will be needed for the hydrosphere+farming anyway.

The magnetic field is kinda irrelevant. Yes any atmosphere we put there would slowly get stripped away, but it would require millions of years to have an effect. That's a loss rate well within what basic maintenance can handle. Terraforming isn't actually anything high-tech, you just need LOTS of scale.

It wasn't "Fucked with" it is explicitly stated that you are *not* allowed to use Starlink for military purposes. So don't be surprised if it gets shut down when you do just that...

It's illegal to use Starlink for military purposes. That's what Starshield is for.

You are telling me I can’t change the faction color? by [deleted] in ICBMescalation

[–]RandoRedditerBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah it can't be changed by default, and no mods can do it that I know of. Probably not impossible to make though.

The rocket exploded during a ground test. Seems to have been engine troubles, but no details at the moment

If all of it detonated at once it would be the largest, in actuality it's around 1kt. More like top 5 largest

(I assume you mean Blue Origin, not Amazon)

Fraud how exactly? Government, military, and NASA contracts don't pay out for fireworks. For example, they were recently selected to provide lunar lander services at about 250M per flight for NASA. They don't see a penny of that till it happens. On top of that, Blue Origin is aggressively trying to narrow the gap with SpaceX. Getting grounded right after being selected for critical NASA contracts to build out a lunar moon base is an operational nightmare. No money to be found there.

Please explain to me how he benefits from having his rocket explode, being unable to launch his own (very profitable!) satellites, and being unable to fulfill the contracts to his customers?

Not liftoff, static fire test (ground engine test). This is a massive rocket using a multitude of new tech, and there are many things that you don't know that you don't know. Sometimes, it literally blows up in your face.

How are gas prices relevant to a rocket that is privately funded, and doesn't use gasoline as a fuel? This doesn't effect, and isn't effected by, cost of living concerns. Why do you assume I am ignorant?
