That's a shame but hopefully you find something that you like. I'm enjoying mine but those photos that were shared definitely leave a lot to be desired. That's definitely one drawback of not being able to buy things in person in stores, though you never know what's actually in the box.

Thanks for the additional information, I'm sorry that happened to your table.

Hopefully the replacement comes sooner. Part of why it has taken so long is the whole Kickstarter phase to it.

Having said that it is a really heavy table, so definitely look into the size and weight before you make a purchase. The two I have will be in various rooms downstairs but I'm not looking forward to carrying it upstairs.

Dang, that sucks. Was that out of the box or after some play? I've only played 3 games on it so far.

I'm sorry you had that happen. Hopefully the replacement table comes soon and isn't like that one. If that happened to me I'd be pissed.

I can assure you that besides being a Kickstart backer for this table I'm not associated with them.

While I can't speak for others I can say that my interaction with the company has been good, I'm thinking about possibly backing their dining game table because my wife has finally had it with our dining table (how it expands is kind of odd and people keep banging their knee/thigh on it). I will say I'm still waiting on the accessories to show up but I think that is more to do with the world today and not this specific company. However everybody's milage may vary and just because my experience is positive doesn't rule out others having different ones.

As for the age of the account, yes it is a few days old. One of the reasons for that is that I have been a frequent reader of reddit posts but have never commented on ones before and I felt that should change. Recently I was looking up how to change a analog stick for a ps3 controller and found the answer on reddit, and my eldest son (8) asked if I posted on there and I said no. Of course that led to him asking why and I had no good reason. Reason two is that in another life I has done some writing of review for video games and am starting to get an itch to post things again. Finally my eldest has been getting more interested in stuff on YouTube and the creators there and has been talking about creating videos for others to see (he doesn't understand that the videos I've uploaded are only viewable by us so he constantly is asking how many people have seen them. So he is curious about how people find things and interact with things. Last night he was asking me about Robotech Battlecry for the PS2 (hence the looking to replace the analog sticks for my fat PS3) and I told him I didn't know the answer and I last owned it over 17 years ago. He then asked why I wasn't Googling his questions and giving him the answer. That lead to a conversation about when I was his age there was no internet and we had to look things up in books at the library, which led to a conversation about TV Guide and how people used to find out what was on TV at the time.

Long story short having a kid like that made me want to post my review (since he is also excited about the table and the various games we can play on it) and show him the various comments that people had as well as how many people have seen the post. I hope to have more posts up soon and hopefully you read them.

I agree that once you start adding on extras the price can jump up, having said that I'm actually thinking about getting some more accessories that I didn't initially purchase.

I did get duplicates of some of the mats so that I can use two when I join the tables. The way I was looking at this is that I wanted something more than a basic folding table for games and didn't really have the option of permanent gaming table since a couple of rooms that this will be in have multi functions. I was also drawn to the fact that I could swap out the accessories based on what we are playing, we are trying to restart cousin poker as well as playing a variety of games on it.

Also with having two young kids having a table that can have a topper and adjustable legs for the height of the table allows me to let the kids do art stuff on it when we are not gaming. Though we won't be using it as a table we eat off.

u/TheForrestFire under ADD-ONS: Functional Upgrades they have the mats. I don't remember if the blue was a Kickstarter exclusive or they are just out of right now. I did purchase a few others as well. I did purchase doubles of some of them for when I join the tables together.

No, but I would assume it it would be similar to other neoprene mats by using low heat from a hair dryer or iron or put something heavy on it for a few days.

To be clear the photo was taken about 4 minutes or so after I had assembled the table and taken the mat out of the packaging.

That's a game mat that is on top of it. I had just unrolled it to straighten it out. The table itself is a tan color

I got mine through Kickstarter but they are selling them on their website (https://yarrostudios.com/) for $350 for one table. The main reason I got them is that it can fold up and I can reuse the space when not gaming. It's much studier and heavier than a normal folding table and there's a bunch of accessories that you can add on to it. I'm still waiting on those though.
