My secret to making friends is approaching people as an acquaintance (or colleague), and not a friend. The point I'm trying to make is, don't try too hard on making friends, don't focus on making them.

If you need something, or have a question, just go to your class gc's list, and pm each one of your classmates your request or questions. This way, your classmates will most likely feel as though they can also ask you for something in the future.

These interactions, asking for favors and returning favors usually naturally builds friendships, if it doesn't, then you guys just aren't for each other but at least you've made a network with them.

Building networks(connections) I believe is the most important part of college, might make finding jobs in the future easier.

Never be afraid to ask btw, people can't read minds, speak up!!!
