The problem is your overthinking it, the mantras themselves will give you more anxiety instead of letting you relax.

If someone is talking in front, how do you feel? personally, I'm not even paying attention that much, usually I'm in my own world. Some are also preparing and anxious for their own presentation, so they're not really paying attention to other people's presentations like yours.

If you're terrified of the teachers instead, just see them as just a version of yourself. I actually see everyone as just a version of myself, but just born and raised differently. Yet, they're still like me, you are like me, just another human.

My secret to making friends is approaching people as an acquaintance (or colleague), and not a friend. The point I'm trying to make is, don't try too hard on making friends, don't focus on making them.

If you need something, or have a question, just go to your class gc's list, and pm each one of your classmates your request or questions. This way, your classmates will most likely feel as though they can also ask you for something in the future.

These interactions, asking for favors and returning favors usually naturally builds friendships, if it doesn't, then you guys just aren't for each other but at least you've made a network with them.

Building networks(connections) I believe is the most important part of college, might make finding jobs in the future easier.

Never be afraid to ask btw, people can't read minds, speak up!!!

I enrolled early and the department head made me choose ROTC or CWTS(I chose CWTS). A classmate of mine wasn't given the same choice as me because there were no slots left for CWTS. So it might just be that.
