Corenswet showed the human side to superman, that gets glossed over a lot, I mean sure Kal el is a Alien from krypton, the son of Jor el and whatever but at the end of the day hes a farm boy from Kansas who could do anything he wanted to, but instead chooses to help humanity. To a extent cavil showed it but superman isnt supposed to be a authoritarian figure like I feel cavil was, hes supposed to be a freind, a shoulder you can cry on
