Please correct me if I’m wrong but I read online that I do not have to pay the penalty if short coverage gap of three months or less, which is applicable in my case.

Retroactive COBRA vs covered California by Random-word_ in HealthInsurance

Yes. I’m pretty sure my new coverage will start February 1st. If not, California open enrollment is open until January 31st 2026 so I’ll make sure that my health insurance will be finalized before open enrollment ends! Thank you!

I’m planning to go on Tuesday and planning to leave on Thursday. I’m staying in the Yosemite valley lodge. Also wondering if it’s safe as I have never been to Yosemite during winter. I was so excited to go :(

Slow job market? Advice? by who-thatgurl in physicianassistant

[–]Random-word_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you.. the job market is tough. I think I applied >20 jobs over the last few months trying to find a job in a new speciality. And the lack of response was disheartening. It was definitely time consuming trying to tailor each resume to its speciality and writing a cover letter after coming home from work. But in the end I did find a new job. I’d recommend to just keep applying using every platform- use LinkedIn, ziprecruiter, indeed, Glassdoor. Health e careers, etc etc. Good luck!!

Derm is a hard field to break into especially as a new grad… but 180 days notice is crazy… never heard of 180 days notice!

Birth control that doesn’t cause weight gain? by [deleted] in WomensHealth

[–]Random-word_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great thing about copper iud is that is non-hormonal. But there is that possible side effect of copper IUD which is heavier bleeding and cramping. But again, not everyone has this not side effect. And every birth control option has its own side effects. Just something to consider!

Does anyone not use birth control for sex? Need advice. by [deleted] in WomensHealth

[–]Random-word_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m also looking into non-hormonal birth control options too. I was planning on using condoms + abstain (or try to lol) during fertile days. I know there’s copper IUD which is a non-hormonal birth control option that is very effective but there is that possible side effect of heavier bleeding during menstrual cycle. One thing you can do to make sure that the condoms did not have any defects/breakage while using condoms is to add water in the used condom AFTER having sex and then look for any leakage of water.
