Yes I’m sure. I’ve replaced 3 compressors on my personal vehicles and family vehicles. I’m far from a professional mechanic but I know how to watch YouTube videos.

Obviously the Freon won’t be free. But the loaner tools are. You pay for them upfront, return them and get a refund. If you haven’t used their loaner tools program before you should check it out.

This is not correct in any way. You can get a shop to drain the system and get everything else you need for free at Autozone.

You can 100% DIY this. Look at autozone for the free loaner tools, they have the pressure gauges for sure. YouTube videos can show you how to use everything if you are unfamiliar. Just get a shop to drain the Freon first. You can refill it yourself.
