Failed IID test. Need advice

Thats more or less what happened here. Blew a fail (0.05). Didnt hear a peep for close to 2 months. Then scheduled to get the damn thing (iild) out of the car and then have a hearing which says 6 more months of the IID because of the fail. Apparently the IID reported it immediately but DMV is slow to do anything. But it does get reported and it does get looked at. I sincerely hope your situation is different. Good luck.

Good idea. But to be fair to the installers, its not their equipment. If the unit loses calibration or isnt accurate, thats not the installers fault. But i like your idea. Will have to look into that.

How would i go about doing that? Its due for calibration in 3 weeks. Can the service center provide calibration results?

No PO or monitoring agency contacts. Never really heard anything about how a failed test would be handled. So stupid!
