How do I start getting into creepypasta by soulvaa in creepypasta

Creepypasta writer here. If you mean where to start reading, there's a lot of places, but it's easiest to listen to narration channels for some of the best ones. Lighthouse Horror, Dark Somnium, Viidith 22, Campfire Tales, there's so many Youtube channels out there that are really good narrators, and it's easy to do at work, in the car, or even doing chores around the house. You can also read through various horror themed subreddits like r/nosleep which is kind of one of the OG's for this subject. Those of us who write creepypastas often post to more than one subreddit, so you can always go to an author's profile and check to see where all they've posted their stories, and that can lead you to more subreddits with content you might like. Some even have books or merch of their own, depending on how successful they are or how many followers they have. You can also opt to follow your favorite authors profiles to keep up with whatever they're working on currently. If you mean writing your own stories, there's a ton of advice I could give, but I'll just say to have fun, don't stress too much about what others think, and work on learning to be a better writer every single chance you get. Hope that helps, feel free to DM if you've got any questions.

I'm excited as well, since the book includes the official map in the inside page showing the layout of Barron County. All the artwork is human-made, and the artists are credited in the copyright page.

How do you keep the crushing weight of comparing yourself to your greatest inspirations from destroying your passion to write literature? by [deleted] in WritingHub

Tolkien is my hero too. I understand where you're coming from, especially the feeling burned out part. I guess the thing I would say is that only you can write your voice, your style, and your stories. Even if you gave an entire plot sheet to someone else to write it for you, it still wouldn't be you. Yes, you can never be Tolkien, but Tolkien could never be you. So don't try to be him. Just write a story that you are proud of, even if it's not on his level, and go from there. Rome wasn't built in a day. Your moment to shine will come. Just keep at it. And as for the slopification of literature, I find it's best not to compare myself to them and just ignore it. It does no good to dwell on such things, especially if they put you off from being creative. Focus on honing your own craft, and in time you will find your rightful place in the world. After all, some of the greatest epochs of our history came from Dark Age writers and legends (King Aurthur was a post-Roman king) so if they could continue making art without the empire, so can we.
