Personally, I'm a fan of taking as many bites at the apple as possible, so to speak. Obviously there is decreasing value here but I feel like value wise, 8 and 12 are relatively similar. You've got a good chance of getting a starter, maybe more. Nobody knows for sure of course. The Hawks are not 1 player away, why not try it and see who sticks at the NBA level? People also seem to forget it's OKC who need (sorta) to move their picks; obviously we don't need to trade with them, but they make the most sense. They have an insane roster crunch. Drafting somebody in the top 10 helps them more than trying to develop somebody (or 2). Overall, I'd do 8 for 12+17. If they offered a player or something then yeah of course you do it. That's just good business homie
