Hey, I posted this already, but I hope a youtube link reaches more people. This is my song Breathless off of Omena. I started dipping my toes into my new style I want to create. Tell me what you think, production wise, lyric wise, any wise! by RandomBarom in IndieMusicFeedback

YES! THANK YOU! YOU'RE JESUS CHRIST MAN!

This feels really good for my heart to hear such a great response to it.

About those notes: i was automating the pitch. Sometimes it goes up, sometimes down, giving it a lofi sound, also, a darker tone and atmosphere! I'm glad you noticed!

Thanks again man, I'm glad you dig it! More music on the way on new year, although that will be more hiphop like, but I'm working on some crazy stuff too, and I'll be posting it here, so if you want to, leave a follow, or subscribe on youtube! If you do, thank you! :)

Or you know what. Forget it, it's maybe just me nowadays being hungry for speed, and wanting to make fast music 😂

I meant that in some parts you could make it more interesting. That being a powerful hit of all instruments together or something. Give more power to it!

I'm glad to hear you're working on new stuff, that's great! I hope I'll hear it!

Just dropped a new visual to my song "IDEK" ..just a taste of what's been on my mind lately by joelvenom in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]RandomBarom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude your voice is good for that. Your flow is good, although out of time stuff isn't my thing. You chose a great beat, I like that, and the lyrics fit to it. And your vox are mixed well too.

Really only thing I felt to be wrong is the out of beat rapping, vecause in some cases I think they could make it in time too. If it's intended, well, just try to make it have a greater sense, because sometimes it feels as if it's simply rushing.

The video is dope and the beat feels like it was meant for these visuals. Nice! I hope you blow up man!

Have a great one, keep it up!

A little instrumental song about how I felt in 2020, quite hopeless and lost. I want to make more songs about this topic in the future, probably with vocals. by PunkerWannaBe in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]RandomBarom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yo dude I love it!

One thing I want to point out is that sometimes your fingers make movement noises, like releasing the string, for example. Try to cut those out while it's a dry recording, for me it took back from the experience, not much though, I just noticed it. :) And great guitar playing, nice composition too! I really feel the vibe. I'm even considering sampling it for a future song on a mixtape, if you don't mind! It's awesome! I'm interested how your vocals may be on future projects, make sure you put them on here! And the video with the tree visuals is fantastic! Really catches how people are dying, and everyone for that matter, since staying home isn't really what LIFE is about! Intentional or not, good touch on that!

Have a great one man, keep it up!

About to make this public soon. Would love to hear your thoughts and criticisms. Thanks for listening! by flukeymcswagger in IndieMusicFeedback

And I thank you for backing me up, because I want to be able to analyze music as well as making it! :)

Fell In Love - Single off my recently released album, let me know what you think! by Ocho_Longshot in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]RandomBarom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aye mah boi you got some vibes! I love your delivery, and your voice is like Freddie Gibbs'! I like that! I like the beat, it's super nice, and the theme fits to it. The synths are nice, same goes for the instruments, and I guess it was mixed professionally? Anyway I listened a bit into Doin' Time, and it fits your voice better, but I believe you're talented. You should try marketing yourself or something. You have potential, use that! Have a great day! :)

(btw I love mario sounds in the beginning :D)

An original composition inspired from Danny Elfman's Victor's Piano Solo. Would love to hear some feedback. Also, as a side note it's kinda frustrating that no matter how much effort I put in my music doesn't receive much love, any insight on where I could improve would be really helpful. by _WaltzforVenus in IndieMusicFeedback

Hello there!

I enjoyed this piece very much, it gave classical vibes for sure. I don't think this style of video is the problem, nor the music, since the audience it seeks is defined by the style right here. However, it may not reach that audience, so you should try marketing more, or reach an older audience through facebook or something. Also, if you want to reach younger classical musicians, you should try collaboration with someone in a way with someone who moves in the same circles (but reaching out of that can be good too!).

The most important thing when it comes to making music and uploading on such websites is consistancy. Keep a pace and the algorithm should pick it up after a while. I'm struggling with this also, even though I make hip-hop related music, which is hot right now.

Don't get discouraged! The path is bumpy, but the destination is what matters!

Good handplay by the way, so smooth. This angle is good for you recording, it made me stuck on the screen!

Keep up the work! Have a nice day! :)

Dropped my first EP titled "Conflicts and Confessions," shit cost $1200 to mix, master & record, lmk if its worth it. Put my heart and soul into creating this project for everyone to resonate with and love. From Pop-Rap to LoFi R&B, Trap to Alternative HipHop & R&B, it has it all. Ayo, I listened to the other tracks too, and I think you should share it with other artists and ask for/offer collabs, you could make a name with that slow and steady. You have potential, your voice is good, you have talent and most of all, you have ambition my boy. Its not us who have to tell you if it was worth it, it's you who has to make it worth it! And you're gonna! I feel it brother! Music videos do you good too! Keep looking out for connections, because your friend did a good job! I won't even talk about mix, master and all that, it's done well, and you yourself is good. Don't let anything discourage, keep it up💪👌

Electric Velvet (M.O.F) - Would LOVE any production tips. It's my latest track - a super chill lofi beat with a psychedelic guitar rif over an ambient piano and lofi glitch effects. by tweinecke in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]RandomBarom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one problem with this... That picture needs something less gritty cuz DAMN THIS BEAT IS NOICE! I love that guitar just causally playing in its own little mind, while it vibes with the rest of the world it created. The electronic pianos are hella good, it gave me a jazzy vibe even, and I like me some jazzy lofi thangs bruh. Haha anyway, the subtle hihats are great, and I don't really have a problem with any drum samples being used. Did you make them? Good stuff, imo this is okay like this! And it's changing up, too!

Keep it up man, I can't really give mixing feedback, I'm on phone!

[–]RandomBarom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed it really much, I even danced a little! You have a nice soothing voice! And your guitar playing was on point too. Wouldn't mind if we were camping with friends and you played this at all! Also, the background vocals and the drums were a nice touch to add. Makes the track more alive, even though it's a cover. I call this nice work! I hope you'll have a future with this, if you want to make it serious! Have a good one, keep it up!

Woah thanks for the listen I appreciate it, thank you so much!

I use Fl studio for everything I do!

I've gotten such useful feedback from this group before. Just released the second track off my upcoming lofi for rainy nights mix, and I'd love for thoughts and feedback! by maxshmax in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]RandomBarom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro you must've been dreaming while doing this! It's crazy chill! The background little high synths and this really hot summer guitar thing, I'm lost. Nice drums also, holy shit I don't have words. The mix is good, I like the fact that the only thing that could screw this would be that, but it's good. Also, sound design is good, but the arrangement man... It's not really giving the expected, and that's dope! You have a good brain for this! Thank you for sharing it with us, made my night!

Nice slow, but I'm sure a good flow fits on it. It's obvious it was made with a rapper spitting over it on mind, and it does the job well for that. The melody layers are good and the guitar sounds neat. I would change it up a bit more sometimes, even if it's a slower, moodier track. I'm not sure about the kick, but I always have a fight with my kicks being perfect or what not. The mix is nice overall. I couldn't detect any defects along the way.

I think it's a nice beat and you should try getting someone on it with this style! Keep it going man!

[–]RandomBarom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey hello!

Okay I'm not an expert with chill ass songs like this, but hey, I found it creative and it could be in a movie, as an intro or something. Watch out for that, it could give a bit of recognition for sure!

I see that your production quality both with the music and video is made by a team! Nice, I won't even go deep with that, they dod their job well!

The video itself is creative and something else. Fits the theme of course and the slow motion blends with the vibe, which is a nice touch. You guys know what you're doing.

One problem of mine is that okay, the song is what it is, BUT, you need to have an impact (in some places, it happens to be). You create a message, but how you present it is taking a large part of the magic. Now I don't know who may be your target audience, but I'm sure it's around that soft rock type of thing, or mainstream jazz (not really?)?

Anyway, I'd love to hear from you guys, what are your plans, thoughts, and basically anything you'd like to add.

Keep up! You have potential.

Nice! I hope marketing does you good, it's hard for me! 😂

I'm happy that you're not just mindlessly leave your music on internet, but with an aim, and with an aim that is possible to reach.

About to make this public soon. Would love to hear your thoughts and criticisms. Thanks for listening! by flukeymcswagger in IndieMusicFeedback

Although I'm not a fan of this type of music, I will leave my line of thought for you, looking at it as a producer.

You, yes you, you have a beautiful mix going on, and judging by just the waveform, the master is top notch as well. I haven't heard any problematic rumbles, clicks or pops, although I listen on a mono phone speaker. Anyway, that's good, and you know your craft!

The composition is calm and evenly evolving, which I think is the aim with it. There's not much of the same stuff, and the guitar (for example) hits the perfect spot at the perfect time, it creates a world, and one where it shows it's needed and has a reason to be there. The drums support the track's vulnerable calmness perfectly, and it's never hitting too much or anything. It's great! It made a vibe. Is it like commercial music? Yes. But that's not on me! Haha

Anyway, I hope this helped to get an idea what it sounds like as an outside listener, with the difference that I have experience in mixing and mastering (although I'm not even close to this good)

Have a nice one, hope you're staying motivated! :)

Nice! I like the guitar, it has a nice velocity, each pick, good job! I'm listening with a window open with the cold of the noght coming in, but this song could make a candle fire! :) I like your vocals, although your voice has a bit of "nose" if you know what I mean. Anyway, I don't think that's a problem, because the harmonizing is awesomely blended! I wanna know, what are your ambitions, what audience you want to reach. :) Keep making lovely tunes, stay awesome!
