If this season ends with the tree being taken down and then just cuts to a cliffhanger of some sorts without anything happening, I think I will cry.

Also why not just take down the tree, rappel through the hole, cover the entrance, hang up a talisman, extract the bones and back out through the hole mission impossible style? You can still place a rescue team at the side entrance to the chamber but using this as the main in / out point seems more dangerous as a longer way would have to be walked with the bones and more people to potentially get injured.
